Sorry guys will have to find a way of displaying the page other than text!

Open up the page (Control Panel\Performance Information and Tools in Windows Explorer). Click the link "View and Print Details" under the table. Copy the text around into a new message (and tidy it a bit) to get something readable:
    Component Details Subscore Base score
    Processor ..... score
    Memory (RAM) ..... score
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GTX ..... score
Gaming graphics .... Total available graphics memory ..... score
Primary hard disk ... Free (... Total) score

My 2 years old laptop definitely runs better in windows 7 than vista and not far off mark with xp in terms of speed and bootup time

I got the x64 version free from MS

When you used windows 7 you dont want to go back believe me I used ms OS's since windows 3 and its like the move from windows 3.11 workgroup to windows 95 and then from that to XP

I just checked on the Intel site, I have the latest driver installed, I just don't get it, my score was only 3.1 to kick off with, the only change is the cd-rom drive and it has pulled it down to 2.7

its possible the hardware test has updated since you first ran it, putting in the new cd drive triggered it to run again and better graphics cards have come out since. there might be some settings to mess about with as well these could help with the 3d part of the test (turning gfx accelleration up might help if its not up fully)

Just tried to turn up the gfx acceleration, and all I get is a notice saying "your current display driver does not allow changes to be made to hardware acceleration settings"
