Just another quick post.....i've just had a quick browse through the thread. Thankyou so much for the good wishes for Stripes.....I really appreciate your lovely thoughts.
She goes back on Friday to change her plaster. Apparently the vet who did the operation today has two dallies of her own and couldn't believe how calm and placid Stripes is despite what's she's going through. She spent most of the afternoon in the staffroom on a heated pad getting cuddles off all the staff - they've even said if I need to go out for a day in the next few weeks they'll have her back for more cuddles!
I'm off for an early night....didn't sleep much last night and frodders, you're right, of course she didn't utter any naughty words....she's been well bought up don't you know!!! (just as well I don't speak spotty dog language I think!!) :rotfl:xx0 -

God bless Stripes, what happened did a car hit her??
Hurrah! I have finally decluttered my exam marking, and can do some actual flying, though have put wm on today...
Last teaching day at school, forever...my department bought me the most gorgeous bracelet, and someone wrote me a limerick. Lovely.
Hope everyone is ok.

Go and find 3 more then you'll have flung 100 and Triker will have purty numbers to admire LOL
Triker - we have purty numbers. I found three more and reached the 100.

.
But then I found another three and I couldn't leave them on their ownsome without their mates could I!
Mudders - I'm glad Stripes is home and on the mend. Lovely to know she's the star of the vet's place. And you sleep well!
Sunnygirl - sterilising jam jars - just wash them well and put them in the oven on a low light so they heat through - that's the pre-Milton way!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

According to my reflexologist, the reason we all feel so shattered is a combination of last week's full moon and the weather...
Valli - that's great news. I'm sure it will go well. Remember to emphasise the fact that you're reliable and efficient, and having been a teacher you know the importance of what you're doing etc. I'll drop you an email about some other stuff that you might want to try to get across subtly!
Mudbath - pleased to hear stripes is back on form. Thanks for your email. I've copied your advice over to the Facebook discussion and I'll keep you updated on progress...
Holly - call your GP if you don't feel better in the morning. Better safe than sorry. We've got it at work too, so I'm opening the windows despite all the moaning about the fact that it upsets the air con, as I think ventilation is probably more important! And I'm planning on working from home as much as possible... (well, i was going to do that anyway)
soappie - well done on the snails... I suspect my garden is probably quite active but I'm going to have to leave it to the thrushes to sort out!0 -
That's how i do my jars too soappie0

My list for tomorrow (I gave bedrooms a good s and s/going over this morning so half of list is complete
).
Most of my dailies involve being out and about. Am just off to strip sheets now and stick in washer along with blanket from chair, so stuck a line through those too. They can get hung out tomorrow morning before heading into town.
Hope all are doing ok, and see you tomorrow.
xxxx

Sort through a cupboard.. airing cupboard if it needs it but any other will do IF the AC doesn't need it..!....airing cupboard is nice n tidy and my cupboard/wardrobe and downstairs craft/general cupboards are too, so might struggle to find a cupboard to sort. Perhaps one in the kitchen would substitute (I was planning to work through those each kitchen day).....actually I will need to do the fridge bottom AGAIN (it leaks so we have tea towels on the bottom, with stuff (approx 25-30 jars) sitting on them, and even though they were changed two days ago with kitchen clean they are now soaked again!).
[STRIKE]Wash any other soft furnishings[/STRIKE]
wipe paintwork
