Dusty - I'm still confused about this VIP thing at 6pm. Just WHAT are you talking about pretty please?

Sorry Soappie - it is a stupid Next thing where existing customers get a slot to buy things online in the sale before the GP. Mine won't work so I've given up, that will save money as I sure won't be joining the queues in store tomorrow

Thank you for the explanation Dusty. I rarely shop - and when I do it's usually not at the high street stuff - so I don't understand these things!

Rach, lovely to see you. I was thinking about you today and wondering where you were. Glad the job is going well.

    Hi Valli lovey

I'm at the bar, fancy a glass of white wine with me?

Just having a little consilatory glass of white to say well done for getting through the interview and they told me they were very impressed with me and glad to meet me and I really only just missed out by the smallest of lack of information required. Karmic circles may be in action to inspire for the future now!

Just watching the first night of the proms (whatever happened to me raving on a Friday night eh?!@ *?) This music is lovely indeed, as in any music.

Another glass calls from the fridge I think, I'll pour one for you Valli and Jo, (all in moderation of course Jo!)

  • Thanks everyone for all your replies about your houses. I love it!! :T
Hex - yours sounds absolutely idyllic.
lil-me - We moved last year from quite a big house too but there was sooo much needed doing to it and we had no savings and no way to get credit to get all these big jobs done. We moved to a much, much smaller house for the same price that we sold our big house for. BUT - the advantages far outweigh the cons. It's a far nicer location and our quality of life has improved so much being here. It's cheaper to run and easier to clean (with the help of this thread, of course). Also, the previous owners had refurbished it to a very high standard with fixtures and fittings that we wouldn't have been able to afford. So there are no horrible jobs outstanding.
Sunnygirl - have a great time tonight.
fedup - sorry you didn't get the job but glad you got such a confidence boost.
((((hugs)))) and get-better-soon vibes for rosepink and everyone else who is feeling so poorly at the moment.

DH just made us a delicious dinner of spaghetti in a cheese sauce and DS1 has started doing his new job of clearing the table after dinner.
I've just made a couple of pea and mint quiches for a get-together tomorrow and loaded the dw and also washed up the things that wouldn't fit in. And I have now got a couple more days lists finished except from some extras.

    Magnificent Monday ~Crabby kitchen!
    Extras
    Scrub out the oven
Wednesday Woes ~ Master Bedroom & Landing - done!! :j
    Extras
list 5 things to get rid of! (need to photograph and do tonight)
    15 minutes filing

Allocate each person a job that is their very own to do each day or each week depending on their age.. we aren't at school so noone has any excuse not to help! DH to hoover. DS1 to clear table every night after dinner. DS2 to keep the lounge floor de-cluttered every evening (as they are mostly his dinosaurs everywhere).
spend half an hour or 30 minutes doing something for YOURSELF!!! That does not include going to the shop on your own to buy little Timmy new undies! Hair appointment, nail appointment etc..
    Make any vital phonecalls

5 things to do this week
    1. wash the car
    5.tidy out shed

And Pollyanna wouldn't have said she'd have plenty of time to get over it, she'd have said that there was a better offer on the horizon
