AVOID ALPHA SUNGLASSES unless you want to buy really bad quality fakes!

Hi, I recently purchased some Oakley sunglasses online from a company, alpha sunglasses. Their website looked to be fine, they sell just about every brand of designer sungasses,free dlivery- worldwide and they took credit card payments and offer a return sercice and tracking service to track delivery, therefore I did'nt think I had any thing to worry about.
However, after approx 10 days the sunglasses came, I knew something was wrong when the postman handed me the package, it had a customs declaration with hong kong stamped all over it! (They were suppose to be comming from the USA). The sunglasses were FAKE , really bad fakes at that! You would'nt want them for free, the finnish was awfull and looked like a bent clothes hanger spray-painted badly!
I have had right fun and games trying to get a refund out of them, after a few days you do get a reply, this is the most recent one;

Thanks! We would like to refund the money if you sent the item back and we get it. But the problem we are afraid is that the shipping will take 3-4 weeks for us to receive it, and the parcel will be lost on the road or stuck at customs which have happened before. If we cannot get the returning, we may be not able to refund. So that's why we hope you to keep it and we make some compensation, which would be better for you.

Pls feel free to tell us your idea.

I replied saying I did'nt want them for free and wanted a full refund........ I'm still waiting!

Does Trading Standards cover online purchases?
If so, I'd be on to them like a shot.

Also, depending on how much you paid for them, it may be worth contacting your credit card company.

Was it the alpha sunglasses that sell all oakleys for £36.47? - if so they are based in Australia apparently and have really weird T&C!

I also have been having problems with alphasunglasses,i went on the website which looked really good,i ordered a pair of prada sunglasses for £33 on 16th june this year they took money straight off my card its now 13th july still no sunglasses,contacting them is a nightmare,i keep emailing them asking where they are i cant get any sense out of them ive now asked for my money back after reading ur post,will have to see how i get on?

Anyway, I too ordered on the 30th June and yesterday hadnt recieved them, so looked on line and found this! Began to REALLY worry, thought I would never see them! So i tried to email them, with no joy so considered the glasses gone.

BUT last night they were delivered, from Hong Kong, 17 days later (phew)

HOWEVER, for £33 they are spot on. Look the part, nice box and qualit replica.

So I guess its just you're luck, Ive been stung before, but on this occasion, I think I've got a great deal!

As always, buyer beware. Buying online from sites like this is always a gamble. But personally, I would reccommend.

If you are after an authentic sunglasses, you need to iquiry us firsty by e-mail, so we won't accept your order and shipped it out, and, we have never encouraged you to buy products from us in the letters. The problem is complex.
