Times must really be hard if you folks who are "working" in EA have nothing better to do than post on here.
Why aren`t you out selling and pulling the country out of the reccession, having campaigns saying "If we don`t sell your house in six weeks,we`ll pay you £1000".
Put your money where your mouth is.
Errr.....my first day off in a 14 days run!
And what Job do you do?My home is usually the House Buying, Renting and Selling Forum where I can be found trying to (sometimes unsucessfully) prove that not all Estate Agents are crooks. With 20 years experience of Sales/Lettings and having bought and sold many of my own properties I've usually got something to say

Very much enjoying it that alared seems to think we are personally responsible for "pulling the country out of recession". Jeez, I'm not wonder woman! Don't forget missmotivation, you are not allowed time off! How dare you even consider it-how do you sleep at night?!?

In France they charge 6%, sometimes start negotiating at 8%.
We managed to get it down to 5% and thought we'd done well!
for what???It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -

During the boom years EA's are percieved to be getting easy money and good money at that, however now during the bust it is the other way round. Transaction levels are tiny so the money coming in is very little. The clever EA's will have saved during the boom to compensate for this bust, however I dont think this is the case looking at all the ones that have gone under.
The same can be said of the greedy house builders, who are now squealing and crying they may go bust.
Where`s all their massive profits from the boom years gone, when they ripped-off Joe P by releasing a couple of houses at time so they could inflate the next ones even higher.
"If you don`t buy now the next lot will be even higher priced" their salespeople used to say, panicing people into buying.0 -
