Barclaycard Platinum limit?

I imagine they would do some sort of search. But I had that with NatWest and they just gave me the visa card as well but included it on my Mastercard account and didnt increase the credit limit.

Yes they do another search with Equifax. I have a BC visa and a MC and when they offered the Platinum they did another search. I have never had any searches on experian and have had several BC's over the past few years.

How did you transfer you limit between cards?

got a 4k limit but was expecting at least 10k, Not bad as half bread is better than nothing. will use and dump in 10 months time

I dont think they have a MC Platinum. I called and asked if they could adjust credit limits to the different cards.
Actually had a letter today from them and they have increased limit to 12k:eek:

didnt they do a credit seach??? How are you getting such high limit?

May I ask how you main use your card??? (i.e BT or purchase) and what you month payments are (i.e do you pay in full, or minimum payment) and how much do you spend in a month??

No credit check! I use solely for my BT. Pay a large chunk off each month and dont use for purchases. Dont know why I have such a high credit limit, but have never been late or missed a payment.

Got £10k limit, however only allowed to BT £5k, so I reduced the limit down to £5.5k.

I only managed to get £260. The only credit card I have had before is one with the HSBC that came with my graduate bank account which has a little over £3000 limit. Should I just transfer £200 over and make the minimum payments for 8 months to build up a credit history or should I just cancel it?
