tesco overcharging

I have had problems with Tesco Express. They had a buy one get one free offer on a few weeks ago for bottled water, Evian I think. I was buying several other things so didn't notice till I got home that I had been charged for both. I went back to check the display and noticed that the offer applied to 500ml bottles - those on the display were all 750ml.
Have noticed on other occasions that the shelf label with the price is for a different size than the product that is on the shelf.0 -

Rapy the complement - when one of my friends was caught out like this we all made a point of buying the item then taking it back for a refund - I think Customer Services got the message!!!0 -
They certainly do have a habit of putting the wrong item under promotional signs. I've seen it with cases of beer before. Perhaps they ran out of the promotional ones - so TAKE THE SIGNS DOWN, not simply put the wrong item there with the wrong price. D'oh!0

Some of you will be glad to hear that I did my weekly shop in Asda this week after the Carlsberg farce last week (no it certainly didn;t say in my Tesco that it was one case per transation - it actually said buy Carlsberg for £5 when you spend £30). Anyway today bought three weightwatchers yoghurts on a three for two deal. Guess what got charged full price for three. Shall be back to Asda tomorrow to see what they have to say. Personally I think overcharging is endemic in all supermarkets and can only say check your receipts0

Our local Tesco is doing a different "spend £30" deal now, and it definitely says at the bottom of the posters that it is only one deal PER TRANSACTION. Clear enough.
I can't promise that the same small print was there last time.
But "buy Carlsberg for £5 when you spend £30 or over" (and it certainly did say something like "or over") doesn't mean you can buy 10 Carlsberg cases if you spend £300!0 -
i too had trouble getting DTD, i bought 2 packs of Quorn mince meant to be on BOGOF but was charged for both. went back the next day and was refunded the price of one pack, when I queried why no DTD I was told that the policy eneded about a year ago! I knew they were going to pull this. So i phoned customer services to complain and they said that they will send me a gift card. Its the principle, there is a policy so they should stick to it, not lie and fob customers off. Tesco's sure haven't changed.0
