tesco overcharging

The wine offer that was put on the site is being abused by Tesco.
The wine advertised at £5.99 was in fact coming up on the tills at £6.49 and in my local tesco they were only giving 100 point not the promised 150.
Also CHECK you bills at Tesco they consistanlty overcharge you

You need to be carefull as the Tesco Extra superstores will have the best deals and the Express Stores have higher prices and different c/c bonus points.

I had no problems with the wine last week all was correct. The white wine was £5.98 and the rose and red too I think were £6.49 this may be the confusion but I definitely got 150 points. There were other wines that were 100 points though so maybe you bought one of those.

If you are ever overcharged at Tesco go to customer services with your receipt and they will refund you twice the amount they overcharged you.

I would agree with checking your bills:

I buy alot of fruit and veg. I hand select what I buy so the assistant needs to type in the code to charge me.

I had one that worked at the rate or knots to get my food over to me to be packed into bags. I paid and was still packing when the card had gone through! It was only as I was leaving the store I noticed that ALL my fruit and veg had become "tesco finest apples"--- only one of the most expensive things I could have been charged! (about £2.50 a kilo, double what many things I bought were!)
Luckily I noticed and got my money back (about 60% reduction in my shopping bill), many people I know may not have seen.

When I was checkout manager, if this was one of my staff I would have kicked their **** for doing this. This is the biggest sign of laziness of a cashier not looking through the fruit and veg lists on the till.

We got overcharged (again) by Tesco today. Right in the doorway was a big pile of Carslberg advertised at £5 when you spend £30 in store. We took three boxes and merrily went around the store buying what we needed. After paying (around £120) I checked the receipt and saw we had been charged full prices for two of the boxes of beer.

Customer services said (didn't apologise) that it was only one per customer We politely advised them that nowhere on the pricing notice did it say only one per customer. After several times of repeating this conversation the customer services woman said she would refund the money as an act of kindness. We then pointed to the rules of overcharging and said we wanted double the difference. This sent her into meltdown and she called a supervisor. The supervisor said she couldn't redund double the difference as the price was not incorrect, but she could refund the price of two of the cases of beer

We were happy with the result, although this was not our intention when we bought the beer, but absolutely fed up with Tesco misleading us and maybe other customers with the price. And also the constant line from their staff that it was only one per customer. If it's one per customer then they should say.

You are totally wrong. It was obvious that it was only one per customer. My wife and I bought our shopping as two separate transactions for precisely this reason. And we also spent £120+ between the two of us, and never even considered the try-on you have adopted.

In what way was it obvious that it was only one per customer? It certainly didn;t say. How does going through the till more than once for the same value shopping make any difference. We've bought the same beer in Asda previously at the same price and it has always clearly stated the maximum amounts per custolmer

Doesn't it say spend £30 or more?

It certainly doesn't say for each £30 spent.

I think people would read it as 1 per transaction.

Sorry, but how is what you did any different? You've just stated that you split your purchases in order to get more than 1 case, isn't that the same thing?

The try on Mark was referring too was claiming that they were overcharged for the other two that went through at full price and then asking for double the overcharge refunded as is Tesco policy. So in effect two boxes of beer for free.
