Just got back from a BBQ, it was such a shame about the weather when everybody has worked so hard. Still it all went very well considering.
TFIF, I'm really looking forward to the weekend, no plans apart from more decluttering of the spare room, our school day is changing in September & I might lose my lunch duties, which will mean losing £100-£150 a month & I'll need to make it up somehow, it may mean another lodger, but can I face it, after Katy, even the word lodger is enough to leave me pale & shaking, lol.

Many thanks for good wishes, we had a carafe of wine with out delicious meal and Ulick is currently asleep in front of whatever drivel he was watching!

Halight, it is so maddening to be messed around like that, try not to feel too stressed, it just makes you feel worse.

Donnygal....congratulations to DS!

Hester....I even turn pale at the thought of you having to go with another lodger....there can't be 2 Katys in the world can there??

Night all, going to take the cats for a walk ( out to the clothes line) then head for bed to continue reading ' A suitable boy'....am on page 1273 or thereabouts.

Evening everyone :hello:

Had a busy few days getting ready for the holiday but the car is now loaded up and we're as ready as we'll ever be. Seem to have spent alot of money today but we are well stocked with food so shouldn't have to buy much on the island as there isn't a supermarket.
Have just finished sorting out the garden for FIL to take over the looking after next week. Am now sitting out here watching the hedgehog sniffing about. He has messed up his sleep pattern becasue he got himself stuck in a prawn creel beside the pond last night and the dog discovered him this morning. :rolleyes: So now he's out and about and giving me much amusement. The dog really can't see the funny side....

Not alot of OS to report but our holiday should be OS enough.;) It's lovely not to be facing the usual long road trip to France tommorrow, just a quick ferry hop to our destination and we can see the ferry terminal from our bedroom window. Looking forward to dodging the showers to see the whales, dolphins and eagles. :j
