Caz - the Torchwood series people are talking about atm is only on this week - it's been on at 9.00 every evening. Tonight's is the last episode. I'm sure it will be shown again though.

I put some washing out earlier on as it seemed to have finally decided it was going to be sunny - then it started spitting with rain just now so had to rescue it - and now it seems to have stopped raining again  Oh well, I'll put it on the airer for now.

Not much happening here today. We had a trip to Holland & Barrett this morning, and that was about it :p

Happy Anniversary to Marie and Ulick  You certainly do deserve a day off!

Diva - How are the test drives going? We have to order our car in October, which is awkward as the prices will change again that month. DH wants to get a bigger car this time, in case we need to start lugging a folding wheelchair with us before the end of the next lease (for him, not me), but as you said, there's very little choice as the advance payments have risen so much. I can imagine us deciding what we want (out of a current choice of only two) then finding we can't afford it.

Hilstep - Glad you managed to find your DDad a blazer, and hopefully it was cheaper than a men's one too!

Dinner tonight will be chicken curry as we had roast chicken yesterday!

Hope everyone has a good evening.

Anyway got there and went to cheak in and was told that i had to go home as there was not enough doctors to see me:mad::mad::mad: The people in front of me were turned away too and so was others behind me:mad::mad:

If thay did not have enough doctors to see everyone that thay had booked in today why did thay not phone people up this morning to tell them to and then rebook them??????
Well i asked this and was told that thay only found out that thay were short on doctors this afternoon:confused::confused: But thay can not phone anyone anyway as thay dont have the phone numbers of the people thay are seing anyway:confused::confused:
If the DWP were a private company thay would be broke by now!!!

I have to admit that the last few days iv not been feeling that great. Well after todays trip i now feel evenm worse.
I have been able to get and the lady told me i was very lucky to get this. An apoiment for sunday afternoon with them.

I hope that evrone is having a better day than im having.

Oh halight that's awful! I agree that you shouldn't have to go anyway, but unfortunately that's "the system":mad::mad: It seems no-one is "exempt" anymore  (((HUGS)))

Donny-Gal - That's great news, well done to your DS! :j:beer:

Halight please dont stress yourself over this its not worth it after all the bad luck we have had i have come to the decision that life is to short to be stressed i will just do the best i can and what is done is done I cant do anything to change it. I do agree that they should have let people know as its a medical all of the people are unwell and dont need to be messed about:mad:

Just a quick question, being a southerner married to a northerner who very recently introduced me to bread and dripping (don't throw up:D). Anyway, it's not something you can get down here along with decent fish and chips...

So i was wondering whether anyone knows how to make it or is it just tip joint juices into a pot and munch away...?

I know it's not very good for my ever expanding waistline , but it's luverly ;)
You know your getting old when you

Congratulations to Donny-Boy - well done!

Halight - the advice from others is right; don't get too stressed, although I really sympathise. It's a rotten system that they just can't seem to get right, because no-one in authority has any common sense.

Bargainbird - I used to love bread and dripping as a child. My Mum just used to let the meat juices settle in the roasting tin (in those days we used to use lard!) and, when it was firm, scrape it into a dish, then you can spread it like butter - lovely with some salt sprinkled on it, but probably the health police would soon be knocking at your door nowadays! It didn't do me any harm, though; I've never put on extra weight, and I ate loads of it!
