I took my daughter last year she was 7 months old and she was fine. The stewards even let us park along side the track so I could put her in the car when the weather got bad. She's now 15 months and has just experienced her first Grand Prix. We went to Silverstone and had a great weekend.

I took my daughter who was nearly 2 last year and my 4 year old and they were fine.

Got some free earplugs that were given out.

There was a fairground and some of the childrens rides were FREE (wlthough it was very muddy).

You do not need a ticket for children.

Our children seemed to enjoy it.

 Still no. First they said the tickets would be sent in May, then in June. Mind you, other posters have said that the tickets weren't sent out until about a month before race day last year. Thanks for reminding me about the tickets though. It's been so long since we ordered them I can't remember which weekend they are for.

You cannot live as I have lived an not end up like me.

Oi you lot - please :heart:GIVE BLOOD  - you never know when you and yours might need it back! 67 pints so far.

I went last year and I'm sure they were sent out about a month before the day.

They are for the weekend of 9th/10th september.

I definately wouldnt take an 18 month along the sound from the cars is very very loud especialy the Formula Renault and F1 cars, even with ear plugs in..

That sort of event is a wonderful experience for kids and if you are concerned about the noise, buy some ear defenders (bit easier to use on young ones as mine wouldn't let me near them with ear-plugs). We got some at the airshow for £5 and they worked fine. Try searching on ebay for "ear defender" and see what you can find before you go if you are unsure whether they sell them at Donnington.

We've just been to Waddington Air Show with my 23month old. He had the best day ever, pointing to the sky and screaming "plane" he was so excited. He hasn't stopped talking about planes since.

I would have thought that ifa pair of ear defrenders can "dull" the sound of a tornado or hawk jet flying low past a crowded airshow then they will work similarly well for the sound of an F1 Racing car.
    Irony.
