It's not just me that thinks it's a bit odd then NoName? DH now said when he comes back ask him to leave it with us & we'll see what we can do, but I don't know what he actually wants to do. I just feel so sick with worry about everything now, my head is pounding & I really do feel like I'm going to be sick. DD is in tears because of how this man was at the door & couldn't apologise enough to him but he wouldn't listen to her.

It's DH's birthday next week & he's already cancelled it (well he thinks he has anyway but I've managed to get him a few treats with the money I had in Paypal) because he knows we'll need the money for hospital trips & other stuff.

PMS ... I'd tell him that if he can find the receipt then you'll sort it (as I reckon Argos would swap it for you if it's actually that new), if no receipt then I'd tell him you'll go halves but he'll have to wait til you can afford it. It's a shame that people are so rude, kids are kids and accidents happen but some people just don't see it.

OH has just gone out and I don't know what to do with my night  should comp really but no motivation, and work in the morning so can't stay up to late to not many options anyway :rotfl::rotfl: xx

Evening everyone. Just popped in to say "Hi" and although not really read back I couldn't help but notice your problem PMS. In my opinion this toy should not even have been at school - where is the parent's personal responsibility? I would always tell mine if they want it lost or broken, then take it, otherwise it stays home. Please, I know it is stressful especially with the other stuff going on, but if you give in to bullies they just continue. If they could not afford to lose it then it should have been safe at home where they could supervise the use as we all know what kids are like. Unless there is evidence whereby your child deliberately caused harm in which case you have to cough up somehow, in fact your child should, then this man does not have a leg to stand on coming to your door. If he is intimidating I would even give consideration to calling the authorities as it's just not on!

    I hate bullies!!

Gonna go comp for half hour so wish me luck! Liberal sprinkling of lucky dust to all you inners tonight too xx

No hun, I feel he's after money but I may be wrong..I hope I am because this is insane!!!! It is disgraceful of him to make a child so upset over it and to try and bully you, I would definitely ask him to leave it with you like hubby said x Please don't let him spoil your DH's birthday and your weekend..In the end of the day, this is 'threatening behaviour' and it is NOT allowed!

Rose many thanks for the PM hun I will look x

PMS ((Hugs)) I agree it sounds suss. He only bought it a few days ago so the box/receipt should be somewhere. Even if he did throw it out it might still be in the bin! It was an accident. Does your DD know if it was working after she dropped it? It might have come to some other harm later. Sorry to hear about your DH's grandma. Try to stay strong, hard though it is.
    Keep thinking positively
  • With it being last day of school they were allowed to take games in to school, I let DD take a small travel board game whereby if it came back with parts missing etc I wasn't bothered. This man has said the toy belonged to his son but his daughter took it to school without him knowing, which if she is anything like my DD I can belive as my DD can be very sneaky. She wanted to take her Nintendo DS but I told her no way, I've now said to her aren't you glad you didn't take the DS, what if something like this had happened to it?

Honestly what's the chance Argos will replace it with no box or receipt? I'm clutching at straws with that aren't I?

There's nothing more I can do now (other than have a lovely big win arrive between now & then that will pay for it LOL) so going to try not to worry but can't shake what DH said about the windows being smashed in when we're not in.
