Free £20 dvd voucher

Charlene: I would highly recommend signing up for a free Blockbuster trial through Quidco (last I looked it was £15 cashback). It's only two weeks length/3 DVDs at a time, but I am very happy with the service. They don't always send the DVDs in the order I specify, but they do send them quickly (same day as receiving them). I have read elsewhere on this board that Screenselect have a tendency to mysteriously not receive DVDs after you cancel your account, and they then charge you to keep your account open. Blockbuster, though, gave me 28 days to return outstanding DVDs after I cancelled. Which is why I signed up again.
Edit: Hey, my 100th post! Woohoo!'Everyone loves to read but it can be a real nuisance when you lose your place. Here's a solution. When you finish reading a page, just tear it out. You'll save money on bookmarks too!' -- Amanda's Handy Hints, Amanda Keller. :cool:0 -
Thanks again Matt. Why did you say "so they are offering their £5 voucher " - was that a typo and you meant £20 voucher?0

This all sounds great but a couple of questions please.
I am worried about cancelling - how exactly do I cancel the credit card deal?
What's the procedure?
Secondly, do I understand that if you sign up you get the £20 voucher but if you cancel immediately you won't get the five rental discs?
Or put the other way, if you wait until the expiry date and then cancel you WILL get the rental discs plus the £20 voucher?
Thanks0 -
Thanks for the heads up guys
Just signed up outside of Quidco to be on the safe side.
I read the terms and condictions quickly and it says you can get the voucher without even receiving any DVDs, but don't quote me on that, I only really skimmed over it.
I think I'll receive the DVDs anyway, it's more freebies I guess  Now just deciding which ones to buy, any recommendations?0 -

Go to my account, then select cancel. My account says first payment 3rd of May, so I think I just need to cancel before then, as I don't think that will be time for 6 DVDs.0 -

See my post (number 27 in this thread) about cancelling procedure
You will get the £20 voucher just for signing up, how many discs you choose to receive before cancelling is up to you (obviously if they send the 6th one you get charged).
If I were you I wouldn't cancel too close to the expiry date because I believe they don't confirm your cancellation until they've received your discs back. Send them recorded delivery to be sure!!Don't stress, relax, let life roll off your backs. Except for death and paying taxes, everything in life is only for now...
