Thanks Matt - I'm even more confused now. Should I have registered with dvd.co.uk not screenselect.co.uk? Or does the fact that I've registered with screenselect mean they will send me a £20 voucher to buy dvds from dvd.co.uk as they are linked companies? And do I still need to give them the 10 titles to get the voucher sent? I'm just worried that once they've got 10 titles they may send them en masse to me and say I received 7 in one week I wouldn't have had time to cancel and will send up being charged on credit card. Or do I cancel now before I've given them the 10 titles? Beginning to wish I'd never started this - only trying to get an extra birthday dvd for my son. Didn't want to rent any dvds at all. Advice appreciated.

You need to follow the link to dvd.co.uk and from there follow the link to screenselect.co.uk to make sure the promotion code is used and you get your £20 voucher. When registering you select how many dvds you want to receive at once, I've selected 2 to be sure. I'm only intending to recieve two, watch them and then cancel before the next ones are sent to me.

You can cancel before they've even sent you a dvd I believe, I'm sure an earlier poster said they did this.

    Good luck :)

Jaxxx, take another look at http://www.dvd.co.uk/rental

You should have went through that website before being diverted to screen select. I really do hope that you went from the dvd.co.uk/rental website, as you might not get your voucher otherwise. It appears that they change the promotion code daily or every other day to stop people posting on forums etc.

The voucher you will get is for £20 at DVD.co.uk, to spend on DVD's, music, games or books. Hope this clears things up a little.

Basically what happens with this offer is that DVD.co.uk get paid for people signing up, so they are offering their £20 voucher as an incentive for people to go ahead with it. There are hidden T&C within the voucher though, thats how they will get people (like the voucher can only be used once, expiry etc)

That is what I did earlier - will let you know if I get the voucher & the cashback. Can't see why it wouldn't work worth a try anyway :D

Well, on the Quidco page for Screen Select it says:
Earn for subscribing to a free trial sign-up. This must be your first time signing up. If you use a promotional code in conjunction with this link you may not receive your Quidco cashback. If a promotional code appears in Screenselect upon following the Quidco link you may use it and still earn cashback.

I had a code to get a Boots voucher for signing up, but when I read this I decided against trying it. I hope you do get it, though.

Thanks for that info! I had decided not to go via quidco just to be on the safe side, don't want to ruin the whole thing!

Interested to know if anyone has successfully done this!

Do they only send out one DVD at any time? Or might they send 2-3 or even all 5 at once? Thank you.

You can select one, two or three at a time when you sign up.

I chose two because then even if I make a mistake and there's a slight delay in cancelling I still won't be charged. I mean, you get charged when the 6th dvd is sent even if the 21 days are not up. So if I was sent three and returned them but then didn't cancel in time I would automatically be sent another three - thus making my 6th dvd and getting charged. With two I have less chance of this, if that makes sense. I only intend to get two then will try and cancel before any more are sent.

Am off to decide what to buy with my £20 when I get it :j :D

Have just signed up, never tried online rentals before. Let's see what all the fuss is about.

Doh! Just read another post, should have gone through quidco (can't see any references to rpoints from the link I went through)

There's some suggestions that you wouldn't get your quidco points if using another promo code anyway so probably for the best. Wouldn't want to invalidate the whole thing!!
