honey we were in a similar situation last year, and it always pays to talk to the company first...in the end, they offered us to either give the holiday to other family members, or a holiday in the UK in place of the one abroad. They are usually pretty nice, let us know how it turns out, I would hate for you to miss out on something, what an amazing prize. And I hope your hubby's job situation improvies soon, too.
