Be completely honest about your predicament and maybe the organisers can work something out with you.

We're all human ,including them , and with any luck there might be some kind of alternative.

Make sure you sort it out first thing in the morning and if it's not to be you'll feel better with it all behind you.

Firstly congratulations on winning!

Is there no way that you could postpone the holiday? Perhaps try speaking to the organisers and see whether you could put it off for a while. Maybe your dh could speak to his employers and see if there's a way around the problem.
I really hope you can find a solution and are able to go at some time. xx

i bet they are understanding when you call. maybe ask if the names on the holiday can be changed and you can sell the holiday on ebay or the paper ???
