  • rtandon - That sounds wonderful but I'm not a fan of hot milk, does it take the yukky taste of hot milk away? If so, I'm willing to give it a go.

Well done on the 'research' Hypno lol

I have two tins of corned beef, some tomato soup and a packet of couscous......I can survive :rotfl:

Sorry to hear Egg are being evil again! What I wonder is are any of the banks good?! I hope you have some serious Nigella style skills because corned beef couscous surprise doesn't sound too appetising :rotfl:

Could you convince work to do food based research everyday?! What about wine too - thats a good investment ;)

I have to agree with Tea not keen on milk but like the idea of being able to shut my brain off!

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:so you won't say yes to anyone permanent but by this time next year you'll have had a new person each fortnight or so! only joking - sounds like a good idea with OH's shifts being cut.

so jealous of the Dominos I really fancied a pizza today but I'm making do with a tescos one from the freezer - maybe I shall have a glass of wine to help it seem yummier:beer:!

Well done and sorry about the student!

Any point in keeping Egg in case you can get a 0% deal later which would finish your debt off more quickly if you could switch to repaying with no interest?

By the time Egg offered me a 0%, I would have paid off the rest of the debt anyway - remember, I am aiming to have everything but the secured loan paid off by Christmas.......with the secured loan paid off by Easter.....

(well, that's my rather ambitious plan......depending on how many students I can persuade my OH that we can have - he wasn't overly chuffed when I rang to tell him about the latest paying guest.....until I reminded him of his distinct lack of shifts in August )

We had some amazing roasted veggies for dinner - Tesco own brand meditteranean veggies - stir fry for 10 mins or roast for half an hour. They were absolutely fab and I think I paid £1 for a big bag of them (which fed 5 easily)......delish with couscous for a cheap and filling meal! If you see them in your local store, pick up a bag for a good quick standby meal.......couscous and roasted veggies also makes a good cold lunch for the nextday with the leftovers too......:D

Do you think they may have made a mistake with the shifts? or are all the people he covers from the happy childless band that don't have to take their hols at peak season:D?
