Sometimes, yes, but not today - it was one of the areas I reduced quite considerably a while back....not enough hours in the day!!

Washing and ironing will be on tomorrow's list......if need be.

It is raining today so anything washed today will go in the tumble drier, meaning that I hope to get away without the need to iron most stuff :T

Morning! Boy, that was some property discussion last night! I loved some of the dream ones. Hypno's realistic first choice was a good'un - but mine was realistic too, if things go in the least well, it was *only £360,000 :) Somebody sounded a note of caution in all that, I can't remember who tho, sorry - basically to be thankful for what we've already got. And I am - I'm very well aware how nice my area is, how safe it is, how quiet it is. But I think a dfw commune would be quite nice too ..... :)

Oh, I AM grateful for what I have.......honest, I am!

But as the house thing has been part of my "life plan" since I was a small girl, it is not just a dream but something that I am very definitely working towards!

The house we are in now was always only a "stopgap", to get away from the house from hell and to get ourselves sorted, the children happy at school etc. It is doing exactly what we need it to do, but it is not somewhere we can see ourselves being for the next stage of our lives....

I spend a lot of time working out potential loan-to-value ratios based on different earning/debtbusting potentials.......and it really is the driving force behind me debtbusting so quickly!

I know you've had that dream forever, Hypno, no problemo. There's two sorts of dreams - the type that give us achievable goals and the type thats kind of out of our reach. I'm with you on the achievable dreams bit, all the way. The fantasy stuff is fun, but thats all, and I think sometimes we (**I**) can get upset with the state our own places are in - I'm not lecturing here! Your third para. above says it all - working out LTV ratios for various scenarios - you'll get there, because you know you can, you've set your sights on an achievable goal, and you've got A Plan. A Very Cunning Plan, involving a lot of hard graft.

The little bit of property discussion I was in on yesterday was really encouraging for me, actually - I've been looking at worst case scenarios, and then I thought, well, I have the means to get through this, and get to a better place. That lovely 3 bed detached in a fantastic location will be mine, I'm determined now, so thank you for that.

Of course, I know that sometimes life gets in the way.......and we may end up staying where we are for longer than we had originally hoped....perhaps I should start to look at dream retirement bungalows instead :rotfl:

Off to the ski club now - will see if I can get a dooyoo review written while I am there, and not to spend too much on (much needed) coffee!

Nah, stay with your dream house in your dream location - and meanwhile, don't harm your £20 too much on coffee!

The coffee shop is not open yet.....so no temptation for a bit! I will try and get on with some work without the aid of caffeine!!
