no, skint, I am having another 2 weeker starting on Sunday.......I think we will stick to the short term ones from now on - just a couple of times a year to help the debtbusting a bit. But the general idea is still that we don't have a student.......

.....it is just hard for me to say no to the money :rotfl:

I can imagine! just wonder if you'll cave come september when they turn up with a sob story about how desperate they are to home one tiny, wee, ever so quiet and polite student...:D

I know - I have this habit of thinking "no" and saying "oh, go on then", all at the same time :o

But we really HAVE decided not to have a long term student this time round.......

    Honest....:p

Just think of it as saying no to a non-essential you know like my lipstick, hazelnuts, meal out, chocolate.... :rotfl:I've decided that my £20 got used up within the first 3 days by the way if not before:rolleyes:

It's the house in Devon for me - even if only in my dreams - zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz got a maid (remember the ad with a male maid in his pinny a few years ago) zzzzzzzzzzzzz he's bringing me a cool drink as I watch the sea on the balcony in the sunshine.........

Pity to wake up to reality!!!

Had another free lunch at work today with yesterdays buffet leftovers - but then broke into my £20 and had tea in pub with friend. But it was BOGOF - only £6 spent on 2 courses, drink and coffee - so not bad at all for a couple of hours out - not quite Michelin Star dining but was ok :) - not been out in ages - so 2 meals out in a week and another night out next week is a shock to the purse. Put there is life to live whilst sorting these debts.

Serious cleaning to be done tomorrow whilst DH is at work - not sure what possessed me to get a beige plain carpet last time round. But hey it was a good idea at the time.

Hope the cheque arrives soon Hypno

Make that 2 houses in Devon, I love Dawlish Warren/ Dawlish area, and Tavistock, but the prices!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some lovely houses there...we can all dream, can't we?...If I won the lottery I honestly don't know where I'd like to live..it probably won't happen so I don't need to worry about that ...lol..
But if we had a commune I could be the chauffeur/taxi driver.

Morning all, one student has gone already, and the next one goes in about an hour....much coffee needed today!!

Banking done, and thankfully, OH has been paid from his second job today - money wasn't due in until Monday.....phew! So I can sit down later and move money about to cover the bits that were looking a bit empty after paying for China and the car.

Off to do scratchcards - have a good day everyone x

    Good morning

yay to having the house back to yourselves! I'm just about to do the opposite and have advertised my spare room for a lodger! I will hate losing have the space to myself but I will have to get used to it again - OH will be moving in for good soon too! The money will be great and really help me to get to that debt-free date.

Not sure what has happened to my £20 - I had to use money in the purse for posting an ebay parcel which isn't part of my 'spending money'. I also owe my purse money for an essential grocery item so... I have some money left but I don't know how much!

Have a great day Hypno and everyone else on your thread.

I can't see us having the house to ourselves all the time......but to have it to ourselves some of the time will be a significant difference to the last five years!

I still have about half of my £20 left - I will have a count up and post a bit later....
