You may well be covered on the house insurance for this, although you may need to consider the impact on renewal premiums of claiming

(......shuffles back to lurkdom!! - Quick congratulations to hypno for doing so well)
    Lilo

Hello lilo!! How's things with you? come out of lurkdom more often!!

The new lock cost £30 so comes under the heading of "not worth claiming"......just one of those things that we could have done without this week!

Haven't been posting, but the second £10 to replace the swiped one is still intact (and hidden from OH!!!)
Hope the other cheque arrives soon! And grrr about the car.... I pray every day that my car won't break down, its so old, any amount of work would cost more than the value of the car - the exhaust was £330, I nearly passed out!!

Had freebie lunch today at work - doesn't happen often - but very welcome when it does. So NSD today but took bessie mate since primary school age out for meal (used voucher so very MSE) for her 50th birthday - had budgetted for this even coming in under budget - used debit card as planned so £20 still intact - I was reallllllly pleeaased about this as still had lovely evening!!

I need to put some cash in 3 envelopes for leaving presents but keep putting off because really DO NOT want to break into note - but do like the people who are leaving - debating raiding my small change jar to use instead - or is that cheating????

Hope things pick up a bit for you Hypno and there are no more unexpected expenses. China trip sounds an amazing chance for DD to see the world.

Just worked out that if I am to pay off my barclayloan by the end of the year and be on track to be completely debt free by Easter, I need to save up £1200 a month towards it.......

    That's quite a lot :rotfl:
