Put the stuff destined for the charity shops in the free cotton bags? Some charity shops (usually local charities) are happy to get clean plastic carrier bags as well...

DD could customise the bags for you hyno - would any of your bedding look good recycled into bags? I sold my old childhood Holly Hobby bedding at a car boot a while back as my mum decided to clear her airing cupboard at the same time! Being that I'm forty now maybe it slipped into the realms of vintage;)...
I was clearing five things a day but I like the idea of just doing them all at the weekend when I have more time as some nights cooking and doing the washing up is all I have time for:o:D.Mortgage OP 2025 £6200/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

I have seen on Freecycle great lists of such things, often with a "collect Sat pm or it's off to the tip"
And then there are lists of things gone/things still available posted later. It still amazes me what people will find a use for.
Near here there is a fairly large number of Eastern Europeans who need household goods such as bedding and saucepans. (I found out when I did my only ever successful Boot sale)
And somewhere in Tooting there is a classroom extension built from recycled plastic bottles, bags and waxed cartons!0 -

I am soooo glad I am not the only one in this situation!!! You all make me feel "normal" :rotfl:
I've already taken most of this stuff to car boots or tried to ebay it, without success. Either that, or it is sooo worn out because it is so old, that even someone setting up home for the first time wouldn't appreciate it!
The amount of stuff I have had that has already been hand me down - it certainly has had its money' worth over the years!!
A friend has been over for a couple of hours, and I have introduced her to the world of quidco and topcashback........:DSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
