Ooooh Hypno...that's early! I'm going to join you in your 'stop eating carp' diet! I've decided that each time I want to eat something unsuitable i'm going to tidy / clean for 15 minutes. This will mean that a) my house gets sorted and b) I have time to think about not eating chocolate/cakes/carp before I realise it's too late and i've already eaten a massive bar. This is the theory!

Hope the skiing goes well xx

Morning - possible afternoon can;t see the time.

The M25 needs to be blown up - in the last two weeks I have had to go down the M4 twice and both times coming back the M25 has been closed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway hope you are having a good time skiing Hypno and that everyone else is having a good day. DS is back to Uni tomorrow so may get the house looking slightly tidier!

    Have a good one

    Morning!

 Thats fairly daunting, hopeful! Especially knowing what people try to do for Christmas these days - but, you know, nobody will notice a single thing except that there's a new baby - just enjoy!

Congrats on the baby Hopeful1, Christmas is a lovely time for a new baby.

And as KC says, who's going to notice what you haven't done, when what you will have done is so marvellous!

You're both quite right. I really looking forward to my new bundle being here. My only real Christmas concern will be my 6 yr old, i don't want him to think a new baby brother means missing out on Christmas! :D

Ha! This made me laugh! You may be able to give the same description to me after giving birth :p

You're right - I am shattered. Just got in - not even had chance to put the kettle on yet! They skiied fabulously - the whole team, all 8 were superb (well, they should be too as they all race week in week out!) so on behalf of "poor schools" everywhere, they did us proud!

We (my friend, myself and 7 of these children ) went to Ikea on the way home - amazingly, I came out having only spent £4.67 - quite a miracle if you ask me considering the last time I went to Ikea was about 4 years ago!

Mind you, "mentally" I spent a whole lot more!

Right.....off to get that kettle on -I hope you have all had a good day x

Morning all. Very tired today, so I don't expect a great deal of productivity eminating from these parts today :o

    Scratches done - 10ps and 25p from virgin.....not complaining.

Today I need to clear and tidy the utility room - remember it was September's "project room" that has so far had very little (read "nothing") done to it, and with only a week or so left of September ahead, I really must get my act together on that!

But first, more coffee........banking.......and a run through the lightspeed surveys in my inbox.

I hope you all have a good day x

    Just on lightspeed myself.
Glad your day was good yesterday. Actually think you deserve an award for £4.67 Ikea trip.

Actually think you deserve an award for £4.67 Ikea trip.

The fact that the car was already full of children and skis did curtail the spending somewhat - oh, and the fact that I only had the paltry amount of cash in my purse, and no other way of paying for anything :rotfl:

BUT - remember I said that I was saving for furniture for DDs bedroom? Well, I can get very similar stuff to the things she found in Next, but for a fraction of the price in IKEA, so I am going to cost that all out today, and do a trip later in the year once I have the cold hard cash available.

So, not only did I only spend £4.67 yesterday, but I will also potentially save a lot on DD's bedroom :T

We don't have an Ikea near us, so it is not somewhere I would normally go. But we happened to drive straight past one yesterday, so it would have been wrong, so wrong, not to have stopped for a little look ;)

El, I am pleased to say that my dining room and my conservatory have stayed tidy for aaaages now! (well, about 5 weeks!) - if I can have the same success with other areas of the house, I would be very happy. Then, I will come and do yours. Promise.
