Afternoon - plan for today - too late its nearly tea time!
Been to work - had two screaming kids in first class so had to get exceedingly wet to sit with them whilst DD taught rest of class, then spent next two hours in wet clothes on poolside!!!
Been to Mums (80 mile round trip) thought I'd be clever and take DH car as it is a company one only to find that it only had enough diesel for 90 miles so had to put a £10 in to make sure I would actually get home!
Still can't get her braoodband to work so am giving up - I don't think she really understands it any way and she is in her 80's.
Spoken to sister in USA - they have flights booked and haven;t paid $6000 as i found you could book tickets on expedia starting from USa to here return. so has only cost them a about $3000!
No idea what to have for dinner ............ any suggestions?
Agree about price of food - nothing ever gets cheaper it just gets more expensive and smaller !!
At home alon tonight which means I can watch Last night of the proms uninterrupted!0 -
Plan for tonight: I *am* going to have a glass of wine - I so rarely do when I say I'm going to - but I feel very virtuous for cleaning out the front third of the garage, so we can do the really horrible stuff when my sister comes down - I deserve it!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

I love last night of the proms - I was lucky enough to go once and it is one of those things I WILL do again one day.

I've always wanted to go to the last night of the proms - I'm so jealous.

Am I right in thinking you have to go to a certain number of performances throughout the season to qualify for tickets for the last night?Debts 07/12/2021

I'm singing at the Albert Hall in November0
-
its a Barnardos concert - cos they started and are based in Essex, they have an annual concert which essex schools are invited to to take part in. You have to be really quick to get a place ! I sang at the Centenary Concert in 2005 which was great and we were lucky enough to get into it this november!0
