Hi DC! Not much in the way of property !!!!!! yesterday - there was not a great deal that took my fancy (at prices I could one day afford).......probably just as well!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Hypno - I'm just about to faff around a bit with yesterday's stuff, but there's 15% off this weekend at Homebase.....2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Well, I have paid £10 off my mortgage today, so am one step closer to moving house :rotfl:
I love that!Love the house - but could do without big paddling pool on doorstep in a few years time.
:rotfl:What have I started? Shelley, btw, the site you found was the one I was using - http://flood.firetree.net/ I'd already gone to London for work when you posted asking for the link yesterday.I'm quite chuffed I've got a plan now to clear debts - phoned for totals and weren't as bad as I expected . Off to get ready to go to wedding reception and hope cake was ok.
Milann, this is great - and I hope the wedding goes really well, have a good time!Morning all - it is a long weekend :j
My student goes home in about an hour.....then we get the house back to ourselves for a bit which will be nice. The money has made a big difference though, this summer, with the student money going towards China and the Egg loan quite happily, so it has been well worth the effort.
Bank Holiday!!!:beer::beer: I have a trip to a DIY store planned myself - a grout pen, and some quarter round (spider proofing) as well as a couple of cheap lampshades for the bathroom and toilet. And I *have* to get my hair cut - I've been cutting my fringe for about 3 months now, and the rest is developing into a *mane*2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
When DH and I used to dream we used peruse the pages of Prime Location.com, I still have a faded print out of a luxury Barbados residence stuck to the fridge..

Hi guys,
I regularly read this thread for inspiration, and thought I would just pop in and say hello (which I did last month too and then disappeared into the abyss, sneaking on occasionally to check out the '!!!!!!')
I am so glad im not the only one who sits and gazes at homes that will one day be mine, top end of my future price bracket..yes...great excuse for paying off this one at the bottom of my current bracket...hell yes!!Pay £15k by Xmas10 £1478.19/£15000[STRIKE]24/07/09[/STRIKE] present - loan - £8550 overdraft#1 - [STRIKE]£2516.87[/STRIKE] £0 credit card - [STRIKE]£1210 [/STRIKE] £0TOTAL - [STRIKE]£12276.87[/STRIKE] £9133.63:T0 -
Well, the student has gone home......
I have a funeral to go to late morning, and so I will blitz the kitchen this morning, then shower and make myself presentable for the funeral, drop DS off at the ski club on the way, and go to B&Q on the way back, because I drive past it home from the Crem.....Homebase is the other side of the city, so I will probably spend as much in petrol as I save with the 15% off.
Then I aim to get the beds dug over, and the weedproof mat down this afternoon, and hopefully the gravel down later today.
Then tomorrow we have to finish filling in the pond, and laying the patio over the top.......and cut back some of the big shrubs that have got too big.
Monday, the aim is to be able to enjoy dinner outside in a nice space. Knowing my luck, it will rain :rolleyes:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

That's exactly it - looking at the very top of my expected price bracket....that means everything *should* be realistic with effort and determination. I don't tend to look at anything that is just silly-price....that would just make me depressed!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes.
