Hypno's approach to life, the universe and debtbusting.....

Hi Hypno and the crew
I have to confess to being something of a "lurker" on this part of MSE as my normal habitat is the pension and investment forums. However having come across your diary I would just like to say how extraordinarily lifeaffirming I have found it. In contrast to many things in life you are setting a brilliant example and helping others to boot. Having thought this I just wanted to wish you all well....
My brother got himself into a financial mess and ended up being bailed out by the bank of mum and dad. However he has now "woken up" and works hard as a driving instructor which has improved his self-esteem no end. He is now also repaying them a monthly sum. So sometimes there can be a happy ending..I am an Independent Financial Adviser. For regulated individuals like me there are rules on giving financial advice. Therefore any posts I make are meant to be helpful but are not financial advice.0 -

Hi Hypno and the crew
I have to confess to being something of a "lurker"
Welcome out of lurkdom! Pop your head over the parapet more often!!
Well, we went out to BiLs for FiLs birthday last night. It was alright....we had a big meal (no cost to us) which was nice, but we got back a bit later than we intended because the food took an age to cook, so everyone is tired today!
Hope you all had a good evening - KC, there is no "method" to my casino stuff - I just get occasional free £5 in "chips" as a reload, so play blackjack and withdraw whatever I can once I have played through.....it's never much, but it all helps!
Off to do banking and scratching..........:DSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
So.....50p on the scratch - that's ok. My first £10 payment to the mortgage has been made.....I'm on my way
, and child benefit has gone in early because of bank holiday, so I will see if I can snaffle any of that money over to the debt pot...although I still have school shoes and trainers to buy this week.....
