By that time, I won't be paying huge amounts for ski seasons.........although I might just want one or two trips to Mauritius in their place

Karmacat, come join the mortgage challenge, you just have to register before december. I am so glad lots of us from the debt free board are joining the challenge. It just shows the progress we are all making.

Hi Lunar! You read my mind .... I'm seriously thinking about it. I did join the previous one, because all my dfw money goes to my mortgage, not my loan, and really, I *have* to join this MFiT2 one - not least because my mortgage endowment policy matures in October 2012 - I'll need to pay off the mortgage with my PEP, if everything is still in place and no miraculous millions have descended on me by then, because the endowment policy is crap, of course. But it will keep me on my toes..... Just off for a read through the thread

I'd love to join in too, but tbh need to concentrate on the dreaded cc and 2 loans first, I think it might be just a tad too optimistic.
Im doing good though have savings envelopes for things and have written two cheques today without worrying if they will bounce, cos I know they wont hooray:T Thats a first in the last 12 months so must be doing something right.

I am really looking forward to starting it. As mad as it sounds I have really enjoyed beeing a DFW, sometimes it feels like we are in an exclusive club and its brilliant 'meeting' and working together towards something with people you wouldnt otherwise meet. I am just thinking of the mortgage as another debt to be busted.

I am pretty poor at keeping up with challenges but on this one you only have to update every 3 months.

You will get there turfy, its not that long ago that my outgoings were much higher than my incomings. You look to be making brill progress so far.

I'm still very much a DFW........just heading towards the MFiT as my next challenge as it is perfect timing for me :D

Came home to a dooyoo cheque - £50 which will go towards the barclayloan once it has cleared :T and an offer of £5 free at a casino thingy so off to do that and see if I can get a couple of quid from that one to go into the pot.....
