:hello: Hypno .... when you pay off that loan thats charging you 24.9% interest _pale__pale__pale_ will you be able to just pay off the capital? Or will you have to pay 24.9% on what's outstanding _pale__pale__pale_ ?

Whatever is outstanding plus one month's interest as early repayment penalty, so not too bad really.

I was thinking about the "spending money on the kids" stuff.......perhaps if I had put Dad's money to one side, to spend on the children, and had used all the extra money we earn to pay the debt, the end result would be the same, but peoples perception of what I am doing might be different

So, basically, I have decided, that Dad left me money with which to ensure my children had opportunities that he would have loved to have given them. I have simply "borrowed" that money, and have been repaying it as and when it is needed.
exactly as you say in later post ,,,,whats the difference

 Well i'm getting myself prepared for the challenge ... I was at the bank today and I chose a crisp, new, Scottish £20.00 note adorned with an arty picture of the Forth Road Bridge in a stylish shade of mauve.

It's far too nice to spend, would make an excellent wall hanging. Think i'm trying to form a relationship with it ........ ???
I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.
