hi all,

I changed from o2 to orange about 4 weeks ago and omg do i regret it!!!!!!!!! I cannot get any reception at home, when people try to call me they go straight to answer phone. Given that i am a stay at home mum and i am at home 80% of the time it is extremely fustrating!!
Today was the worst. My daughter has contracted swine flu and i was waiting for the doctor to call me back this morning and all he got was my voice mail!!!!!!!!! I am at my wits end with orange. I have complained several times and they said there is nothing they can do.

Does anyone know where i stand with this as i have signed up to a 2 year contract
:o

i know how bad it is with phone reception i have same problem you should have checked signal before you signed up if you had the contract for less than 14 days you could have cancelled surley you would have worked out that then why leave it for weeks your stuck in the contract now unfortuantly
my advice explain to orange and see what they can do

as for your daughter "allledgely" having swine flu why bother waiting for the phone take her to the doctor or the hospital !!!!!!

You aren't supposed to take anyone with suspected swine flu to the doctors. The OP did the right thing. Stay at home and make phone contact instead so as not to infect others.

When I moved to my home a couple of years ago, I found that my Vodafone mobile didn't work. I still had about 12m left in my 18m contract, but I stilled called and complained that for me to pay my bill they had to provide me with a service - a service which I couldn't get at home. They did a network coverage check, confirmed that I had no/poor coverage in my area and agreed to release me from my contract. You should try contacting Orange and seeing what they say - you may get lucky.

I had this problem a few years ago. When I rang orange they did a check and found out that I had rubbish 3G coverage in my area. Once I'd changed the settings from 3G/GSM to GSM only the reception worked fine.
    Looking forward to the future.

this is a very good point.

orange 3g signal at work is so hit and miss for me. I've switched my phone to 2g only and works fine with no problems now.
:p It is better to be thought of as an idiot than to open your mouth and remove all doubt
