I WON my tribunal

I realise it is possible to post 'happy' posts while depressed but it does seem odd to be so happy about being declared unfit for work.
I find it worrying that you became depressed after giving up work and haven't improved since, suggesting work may actually be more beneficial than being at home.
Also, when turned down for ESA, you began seeking work and said just the other day that you'd take a job if it was offered to you...
Now you are celebrating being 'written off'.0 -
Well said bestpud.
I think I'm going to be depressed when I get up for work in the morning knowing my taxes will pay for 'ESA claimants'. :rotfl:Be happy, it's the greatest wealth0 -
I'm just listening to The Long View on Radio 4 (will be available on Listen Again, if anyone's interested), which is about youth unemployment.
One sentence caught my attention - someone said that being unemployed often leads to depression.
I think they (i.e. the welfare authorities) are in danger of developing a chicken and egg situation in this respect, if they're not careful.I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

Sitting in the house all day would do my swede in :rotfl:
On a serious note, I know of some people who see it as their career to live on the sick
Thank goodness they are now cracking down on dodgy claimants. :TBe happy, it's the greatest wealth0 -
I think it probably can but I often wonder with these lovely little sound bites how much truth there is to them like the one about piracy funding terrorism !!!!!!0

I completely agree that being off work can make depression worse. I also think it's too easy for some people to say they are depressed, it's almost fashionable these days.
But once you go down the road of depression, and I mean real depression, it is so very hard to get back to work, even if you know somewhere deep inside you that it will help. Think happy & you'll be happy
I :heart2: my doggies

Sometimes seen lurking on the compers forum :-)0 -
I must say the OP's posting history doesn't give much indication of any mental health problems, other than (s)he keeps referring to the breakdown last November. I don't normally trawl through old posts in a stalky way, but I was a bit incensed by their injured innocence reaction when the severity of their condition was queried.
Oh well, the person judging the tribunal obviously thinks the claim is genuine, so who are we to comment?
Never mind that the country is on its knees, partly due to the burden of benefit payments. Keep dishing it out.I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

That's the main reason I applaud the changes to IB.
There are a lot of long term claimants who could work, but they have been cocooned by the system too long and can't face stepping out of it.0 -

Maybe you should become a pyschiatrist if you are able to tell whether someone is depressed or not from a couple of sentances written by a complete stranger.I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.
