Quote " I posted this at 3.42pm today

The search is still playing up have gone 6 pages back and all of the post's posted after 11.00am this morning are not showing up in the search :eek: " Unquote

the search seems to be slowly improving as time is going on but is still 3 pages back and about 75 minutes behind

I imagine that it will take time for the database to recover and this will hopefully improve over time

I would like to say a big "Thank You" for the vast improvements made to the search facility recently as before the forum went down some of the searches that I did where almost instantaneous!! :)

[Sorry, due to a serious hardware fault, the forums are closed for a time while we repair and restore some of the servers.. We are working to restore service as quickly as possible. In the meantime, the www.moneysavingexpert.com site is working fine. Webby]

Search is still playing up post's from 9 hours ago are not showing up when searching in fact you have to go 3 pages deep before any of them do!

in it's present form one cannot rely on the search facility unless every time you post a comp you do a search and then also check 3 pages back to see if it's already been posted!

  • Hey Guys,

We are aware of the search issue and we have members of the team looking into it now. The service will hopefully be resolved shortly as we are aware of the problems that it is causing. In the mean time you may experience short outages of the search whilst we try to fix it. When we believe it should be fixed we will return back to this thread to let you know.

    Thanks

    MSE Neil
