Thanks savingholmes, as usual time has passed me by and my diary has suffered!

Bank Holiday was filled with a new game encorporating gardening whilst dodging the rain and making teas for the highly skilled labourers (er...OH and his father) kindly building something at the bottom of the garden! I think it's taking the form of decking but at the moment it just looks like a bit of a bomb site! OH's dad has just retired and as a retirement gift (to us-which I'm yet to understand the logic but won't complain!) he has kindly offered to pay for and build some decking so we can at last sit out and enjoy the garden! It's getting there...I think...:rotfl:

Having horrendous problems with my loan with The AA, they are chasing me and sending me statements not showing any of the monthly payments I have made to their appointed DCA since last November :eek: (Despite them sending me a letter last November CONFIRMING that all my payments should be forwarded to the DCA) On the otherhand, the actual DCA Blair, Oliver and Scott sent a letter yesterday saying that I had failed to respond to their demand of full payment (even though I have not heard from them since their correspondence CONFIRMING that they accept my monthly arrangement last November) and to put the cherry on top, I received a red letter from Moorcroft Debt Recovery today on behalf of The AA chasing full payment.

Of course I can prove my payments and have already sent my hiiyaa!! letters to politely show them their errors, but it has still left me reeling!

Just completed my monthly payments and have coloured another 2 squares in :T

Had a reply to my hiiiyaa!! letter to M&S Credit Card, who were trying to tell me that my 12 month agreement had ended 6 months prematurely, and they haven't just agreed to continue for the next 6 months, they've renewed the payment agreement for another 12 months, due for review 04/11 :T

Could possibly go through the same thing in 6 months time but is only to be expected from these companies :rotfl:

    Morning!

Things are looking very iffy today for OH's job. Looks like all of his team are being laid off, a weeks notice from today. To be fair his 'temporary' job has over run by 2 months so it was to be expected, it obviously just means a bit of a re-think and re-budgeting scenario again. He has been searching for another job for around 6 weeks already so he will just step it up a gear now.

So in light of this my Ebay efforts are stepping up a gear this week, i want to aim for 10 items per day, which should pretty much clear me out. Then I'll start hunting the house again for more things to sell! :rotfl:

Payday is only 10 days away! :D

OH's job is secure for the time being, which is great news and he should be able to stick to his plans for holding onto it until September until he (hopefully) re-enters into training/apprenticeship/job type thing again. He has not coped well being cooped up in an office all day! But have to hand it to him for sticking with it

N Power are being absolute pigs. I'm trying to switch to Scottish Power (who worked out much cheaper for me) and they are just constantly delaying it. They have managed to hand over the gas supply but the electricity bit...I have no idea what they are playing at! *SIGH* I'm meant to be benefitting from a dual fual deal and be getting £50 cashback for the deal but have not received either yet! I'll plod on with yet more emails!

Well I’ve managed to squeeze a final bill out of N Power for the Gas (£135 ) but they have just sent a normal bill for the electricity. Which because they are now classing me as just having electricity with them and no longer paying via direct debit, the rate is much higher (Bill is £228 ). Plus it’s an estimated reading, which I will be pointing out to them! This may meddle now with everything as I do not have nigh on £370 in my budget to clear these bills!

All because I wanted a cheaper deal which I was assured would be a smooth and easy process. *SIGH*

We are sneaking off for a (very) cheap weekend in Bridlington this weekend, could definitely do with some sea air (and seaside fish and chips :D) Will only cost the petrol and small bit of spending money so I have almost managed to justify it as a medicinal head clearing trip :rotfl:

    Ooh spangly new forums! :D

Had a lovely (and cheap! :money:) weekend at the seaside. Couldn't have picked a better weekend to go really, I've never seen Bridlington in the sunshine before! Although I have caught the sun and have sore shoulders :( I'm always so careful but that sea breeze got me!

But back to the Debt grindstone today. I am just looking into how to go about logging a complaint with the Financial Ombudsman...I've had no word from any party about my loan monthly payments not showing to The AA/their DCA - Blair, Oliver and Scott.

And funnily enough I realised during my investigations to make sure it wasn't me making any mistakes (which of course it wasn't ) that the bank details given to me by the DCA which I am paying into every month are EXACTLY THE SAME as when I was paying £1 directly to The AA and now I am paying to their "DCA". They are of course one and the same, and yet all of a sudden they are not receiving my payments. Hmm *insert Mr Rolly Eyes here*

I notice that the Ombudsman advise that you may be able to charge for your time when dealing with such matters...I think I could clear my entire debt! :rotfl:
