That's the problem - it's an  moment when they tell you you need new glasses!

I'm one of those rare cases who actually quite like wearing glasses. The novelty hasn't worn off yet after 6 years! Also very lucky that I am 'only' short-sighted, so just a bog-standard lens for me.

Plus I'm happy to risk buying mine online - my last ones came to £19 inc lenses and delivery :money: and they have been my favourite style so far! I get my contact lenses online too - they are the only two things i shop for online funnily enough.

I've had to do an infamous hiiiyaa!! letter today for the first time in what seems like quite a while. The AA have sent a notice of arrears which doesn't show any of my payments made to their appointed DCA 'Blair, Oliver and Scott' (who I've now made 4 payments to)

This confirms my fears which I expressed to them in several hiiiyaa!! letters when the DCA got involved - I wanted clarifictaion of who owned the debt so I could direct my payments accordingly and be sure that they would be put against my account. Lo and behold, they aren't! What a surprise, no communication :rotfl:so I have wrote to them all to show them the error of their ways. Including the letter from The AA confirming that I should forward my future payments to Blair, Oliver and Scott! The only thing I forgot to put in is the bill for my time as their apparent freelance Internal Relations Consultant :rotfl:

I really miss the rolly eyes and shruggy shoulders guys in these situations!!

Definitely start a diary, it really is so helpful in keeping things straight! Just don't neglect it as much as I have recently :o:o:o:o

Sorry everyone, I am back! And alive and keeping head above water etc

I’ll try and cast my mind back slightly as to who what where when why and how I’ve been getting on with my life over the past couple of weeks. Sadly not a great deal to report!

Money-wise I took a bit of a hit in March really and have overspent in all areas of the budget and had to dip into THE DEBT POT a bit which I am kicking myself about.

But it has boosted my determination for April and I already have 32 items listed on Ebay :T so maybe a dip in MSE-ing has made me realise that I have a long way to go but that I can get on with it and do something about it! Plus I have plucked up the courage to ask for more money contributions from OH (which now makes it 50/50 as opposed to 60/40) and convinced him to get rid of Sky Sports (which to be fair he solely pays for but so rarely watches it even he has admitted the waste of money!)

Lots of Spring DIY-ing and cleaning on the home front which has eaten up my computer time (I know I know, tis no excuse for not updating my diary!) Kitchen has had a lick of paint and all the cupboards cleaned out and de-cluttered. New gravel in the garden and a new fence in progress courtesy of OH’s dad and very neat piles of Ebay stuffs in the back room, all ready to be listed gradually over the next couple of weeks :j

Debt-wise, well Barclaycard are finally cashing my cheques-that’s the only silver lining I can give the situation really as I finally had a reply telling me that they are not accepting my monthly payment offer, they will only go through a payment plan with the CCCS and that this is their final response on the matter. Despite the fact that I have gone through the CCCS for everything up until the payment plan which I chose to administer myself because I wanted to be in control 100%. SIGH!

I don’t think I can go through the CCCS for just one of the debts and I don’t really want to change the way I am currently dealing with everything as I feel in control of my situation and I don’t want to rock the boat. I may decide to continue to pay my offer monthly, of which they are sure not to be happy with and hope that it finally gets passed onto a DCA!

I never heard back from Wescot re: the F&F Offer, not too surprised really but I do feel a slight loss when I think of how many squares I could have coloured in!! :rotfl:

    Hi! :hello:

I find it incredible how time is slipping away unnoticed at the moment! And all I have really been up to is the usual work, rest and not very much play! And of course debt-busting and money saving in between! :money:

Today’s my outgoing day for all of my agreed monthly payments so I’ve been able to colour 2 squares in :j :j but I’m already over my monthly spending budget and we’re only just half way through the month.

Very frustrated but I have had the monthly Council Tax DD starting back up again and a water bill, which I’ll adapt to for next month. Plus it was a close friends hen do last Saturday and although we all attempted to keep costs to a minimum, I still spent more in that one night than I usually do over all weekends in a month put together! It just means that my NSD’s should significantly increase over the next couple of weeks!

Having a few problems switching energy supplier, N Power are being very difficult! Which is delaying the £50 cash back I should get for completing the switch! But it will be worth it in the end as my monthly bills will be working out almost £30 cheaper than before.

On a positive point though my Ebaying total is £109 so far which is headed straight to the debt pot :j and the weather is getting a little better every day which means that car boots are just around the corner…

That ebay total is pretty good, and as you say car booting is upon us for a few more pennies :T

As for the hen do - well, they don't come along very often and if it is a close friends, then it is right to spend the money - you can adjust accordingly!

Hi Rainy - when you have large debts - you have to pace yourself - and have some fun along the way. You are doing brilliantly and are working hard to pay those debts off. Don't undersell your achievements

 Thanks guys! I do beat myself up a bit if I have a slight 'indulgent' spend every now and again. But I know that if I didn't have some treats along the way I would certainly go a little bit loopy! (well more loopy than I already am :))

But I pulled the reigns in a bit towards the end of last month so I have only ended up £80 over budget (initial figures were looking at double that ) and I am positive I can make up that deficit this month, I am already on £38 of Ebay funds which rolled in today :j I count the money as it enters my bank account from Paypal rather than when items sell etc, it makes it a more 'real' total (and is spendable!)

I am just about to take a look at my figures previously posted and update them as I know a few of my monthly agreements are due to be up this month. Good old M&S Money are on the ball already telling me that my time for nice low monthly payments is up but surely won't be too impressed with my reply and SOA :rotfl: telling them that it can't be up as I can only increase my pro-rata monthly payments by a grand total of 42p! Which incidently I am proud of as it means that I have made a few cuts somewhere :T
