perhaps I should explain further... they put a tag on the glasses that had the code for toys on it, so therefore my receipt came up with toys £5.99 not sunglasses £5.99, so they made the mistake, and are blaming me for it!!!
It was your fault buying the wrong side.
Furthermore do TKmaxx have an exchange policy? I always thought they were one of the ones who refused to do anything except for faulty items.0 -
yes the returns policy is love me or return me within 14 days!! and Im well within my 14 day period, and I dont love the sunglasses so I can return them, and they have labled the item wrong, so the item is not as described either, and I have the receipt, if they had labled the item correctly then there would be no problem returning them0

I don't see why some people are having a go at the OP, who in my interpretation is completely in the right on this one.
TK Maxx DO offer a 14-day unconditional refund (subject to item being in original condition, and production of proof of purchase). They cannot renege on that once the contract has been struck at the point of purchase. Any alteration to policy can only apply to subsequent sales, not previous ones.
I would reiterate my suggestion to return to the store and ask them to scan the tag's barcode in front of you, and see if it still says Toys. If so, they haven't a leg to stand on.I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

I had vitrually the same problem.
Bought myself a t-shirt and it was faulty. I took it back to the shop with the receipt. The woman at customer service said "this is not the receipt for this t-shirt". On the receipt it said "Childs Shirt".
Now it was the receipt I was given when I bought the t-shirt, but the woman would have none of it.
The manager was called and he said "Sorry, this is not the correct receipt - we cannot refund".
Now I was beginning to foam as it WAS THE RECEIPT I WAS GIVEN.
Mrs Advent had a brainwave. She went to get another t-shirt off the rack and lo and behold it was also labelled as a CHILDS SHIRT.
A quick apology and refund followed.
So check the receipts with TKmaxx, it seems they make a habit of labelling products incorrectly.0
