I am the same and love being organised and adore lists and run to a strict routine most days! I write lists for everything. :o My husband takes the pee out of me all the time for it and when i am sitting writing a to do list he wil say:

    1) write list

    2) write back up list

etc etc He thinks he is so funny

I think we should start a group. I will start:

Hello i am Vicky. I am 32 years old. I am here to fuel my addiction for organisation and i am addicted to lists :D

Hi, I'm Emma. I'm 37 years old and another list and Christmas addict. As I type this, I am looking at my "list of jobs to do after work tonight". It goes something like this:

    1. Washing - dark, light, towels
    2. Sort out finances - check credit card statements etc online ready to pay this months bills.
    3. Phone sister.
    4. Sort out final Christmas budget.
    5. Give self mini manicure as a treat.

Why do I get the feeling 5 will fall by the wayside?!?!?! :rotfl:

    Hello you lovely crimbo nuts!

I have finally sorted, cleaned and done out my kitchen cupboards! OMG i threw away loads! It was amazing. I threw away anything i hadnt used for a year. Couldnt believe it!

Thank you for the challenge it was really needed in my kitchen.

I have also taken advantage of some of the deals posted on here in the grabbit it whilst you can threads. Got a lot of toys and toiletries etc for pressies and hampers and saved lots of ££££'s too so am feeling very positive at the mo but still have a bit to do. I havent started on any of my crafts yet tho so will need to start that this weekend i think.

The other thing i wanted to ask you does anyone know where i can print out Christmas cards for my children to colour in? I was going to buy some from Yellow Moon but they are £2.99 for 12 cards which seems a lot as they are only card and a bit of ink. Simialr to these:

    http://www.yellowmoon.org.uk/src/ADWORDS/product-Colour-in-Christmas-Cards-G222.htm

I saw some in Wilko at the weekend, but can't remember the price off hand. That weren't as expensive as those, I don't think. They also had some others, that came with Santa/snowman cut outs and little snow balls and eyes to make your own cards.

I'm getting some packs for niece and nephew for when they come up to me before Christmas.
    xx

    Hello hello hello..... !! :j

Im just coming in to keep myself on track really.
    • Ive sorted ONE of my kitchen cupboards, which to be fair, was the worst one, cos everytime you opened the door, the tupperware all fell out onto the floor!
    • Im in the process of doing the rest and srubbing my kitchen from top to bottom!
    • I made a batch of chilli for my freezer
    • Sorted out my christmas card list for Me, but still need to do the little ones....
    • Have started to devise a gift list - but need to go through the stuff I have already bought which is hiding under by bed to establish what I already have and what I still need to get!
    • I have compiled my xmas notebook/ringbinder type thing.....and whilst its still a work in progress, its definately helping me focus on what I need to do!!! Yay!
Hope your all ok, and thanks again for this thread!

I am looking for some advice though..... Ive never made xmas dinner before and seem to be compiling enough recipes to feed the 5000!!!

Can you tell me some samples of your xmas dinner menus to give me some ideas please and inspiration?

There will only be me and my 7 year old xxx

Oh my lord, I go on holiday for a week, and come back to 15 pages of new messages to read. I'm going to have fun going through those.

Did a few bits of Christmas shopping whilst I was and also visited Harrods "Christmas World". Not to buy, just to browse and feel a bit Christmassy. It worked a treat!!

Hope all is well with everyone! x

Harrods - I use to love the christmas world, yrs ago, always use to go to London for aweekend in Nov, see a couple of Shows, and do Harrods, Harry Nicks (for biscuits think the food shop use to be 5th floor, and they had posh toilets, which were free), then Fortnam + Mason for me teabags.

Thank you reminding me of some good times.

Remember the best (back in 1996- showing my age), I'd got a cheap weekend break + tickets for Phamtom of the Opera, it was my then boyfriends 30th present, we stayed at The Cumberland, (right on Marble Arch), and they'd made a boob with our booking, we'd prepaid, but they hadn't got the details and wanted us to repay, which was about 3 times the original price, eventually got sorted, but they upgraded us to suite, gave us complimentary evening meals, the room was lovely, overlooked Marble Arch, the general prices were awful then, think it was £7 a pint!!

He promised to do the same for my 30th, but we split up a yr later!! x
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

If you want to do a starter go for something light, without cheating what about Tomato soup (just thinking dd nearly 7).

Mains - I usually get a frozen turkey breast from Iceland, (small ones serves 3-4), doodle cook in their own tray, and that way your not eating turkey for ever. Have enough for Boxing day if you want the same again

Pud - if you like xmas pud, they do smaller sizes, or maybe (know Tesco do them), they do different flavours, such as sticky toffee pudding, you could still have the traditional one, and if your son fancies another flavour.

Its only basic suggestions may be a starting point. x
