I think perhaps once they have filled their quota of men/women or a certain age bracket they might say you don't qualify. I bet if you said you were men you would qualify as I cant see oo many men signing up for it ;)

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
    KITCHEN CUPBOARDS / DRAWERS

Done - and have sorted out some stuff to car boot/charity shop at the same time. Did find a couple of VERY out of date pots of herbs and a white wine vinegar that would have worked as paint stripper. Suffice to say, these are no longer in my kitchen cupboard :-)

    FOOD LIST

Down to my mum's for Christmas this year, so have made a list of the things I'll buy/make as my contribution towards the Christmas Food. Includes Stollen, nice biccies, home-made Xmas Pudding and home-made truffles.

    CHRISTMAS CARDS

My splits are : Special, Family, International Post, UK Post, Friends.
List so far is about 60 cards, so not too bad this year. Have also typed up my address labels ready to print.

    KITCHEN CUPBOARDS / DRAWERS

This is something I've been meaning to do for ages but haven't been able to make myself. It desperately needs it though as the saucepan cupboard won't even shut properly! I'm a little worried about what I might find at the back of the food cupboards, I may win the 'most out-of-date' award ;)
Hopefully now it's been made a challenge I might actually get this done. So thanks for the extra motivation!

    FOOD LIST

I've thought about this but not written anything down so I'll get started on that soon. This is the first year I'm cooking Christmas dinner as previously we've gone to one of our families. We decided we wanted Christmas dinner at home this year, a decision I may regret! Any advice or tips are very gratefully received :o

    CHRISTMAS CARDS

Almost finished my list as I'm using the one from last year but amending where necessary.

Card groups - Family to post, Family hand deliver, Friends, Work, Post Pals, Extras (neighbours, son's nursery etc)

I like to make most of my cards but always run out of time and end up having to buy some. I'm going to start making some this week, so hopefully I'll get them finished this year :D

Great challenges! Thak you for organising all this and hopefully making me organise myself.

Have to plead guilty to cupboard drawers...........daren't look but OH has been going mad, clearing out cupboards everywhere............he's off to the tip tomorrow. Mind you none of this is anything to do with christmas.......he's just having one of those 'clear up' moods.

Have made another post-it holder.............:T Have to have another look at others though............not sure whether I ought to thread a ribbon through at the front
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

mum2one - re the £10 secret santa. You mentioned that we didn't have to send anything. Does that mean we are supposed to have paypal or something like that?

    Hi Angela.

Without sounding mad, your on the right track, that we dont have to post, you dont need paypal account or anything like that. Just £10, sounds mad, but all will be revealed in Oct.

Without giving the actual plot away can say-

    No crafting involved
    maximum spend of £10.00
Doesnt have to be one item could be two, or even three
No knitting, no sewing, no sticky back plastic!!
Your be given a couple of clues re the person ur getting for
should take maximum 2 hrs to do

Dont know whether that makes the plot thicken or makes anyone run a mile.

Can promise it is fun, and when all revealed it will fall into place.

xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

Have a quick look at the blog linked to this thread. It isn't up to date at the moment, but a great starting place :) (and no chatter on there so it is easy to read through)

Here's a few as I've been away from posting...

What would a reindeer do if it lost its tail?

    She?d go to a ?re-tail?shop for a new one!

    Why is Prancer always wet?

    Because he?s a ?rain?-deer!

Why does Scrooge love all of the reindeer?

Because every buck is dear to him!

Which of Santa's reindeer has bad manners?

    ?Rude?-olph!

    ;)
