Sammy - sorry to hear your news, thinking of you and fingers crossed.

    Hello new people, welcome!

I'm one who doesn't like sprouts! Yuck!

Overzealous_Mummy - I love the tea hamper idea! Can I borrow that for when I have children?!

I picked up some great charity finds yesterday. I went to Orpington (Bromley, Kent) because I wanted to see the charity shop that Mary Portas revamped on a BBC series and someone I work with told me there are lots of other charity shops in the High Street too. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/8101275.stm

The shop looks really good, I could see what she meant on the programme when she said she wanted it to have a market look and feel. Nothing actually caught my eye though, I didn't buy anything there. There were a couple of 'designer' high end pieces but a lot was 'normal'. I will definitely be going back though as it's pot luck isn't it. It was weird to see the people who were on telly, I did want to talk to them but the shop was so busy I thought I'd better not.

I did come away with the following from other charity shops though for pressies:

A door hanger with a drawing of a woman sat at a table having a drink and it says "coffee time" - £1
    A cocktail book - £1.50
Boots sweet raspberry bath salts - £1
M&S tea cup, saucer and hand cream set, usually ten pounds and it was £2
A round smallish wicker basket but more tray like - £1
A Bob the Builder plastic toy with a screen that you can write on with a point and then wipe away - 50p

    I was very pleased!

    Those hampers sound great!
I've read quite a lot about hampers on here and I think I might give it a go as they sound like really nice, personal presents.

My husband has decided he just wants the money I would spend on his presents so he can save up for something. But that means he won't have that much to open on Christmas day and I can't have that. So your hampers have given me an idea of perhaps doing a cheap little one for him. I'm thinking perhaps a food and drink one as he likes weird ales and smelly cheeses.
Can anyone suggest anything else I could put in?

Sammy_kaye18 – Oh I feel for you hun. I had a bleed early on, and it’s so scary. I’m glad they found the heart beat though, even if baby does seem to be a bit younger than you thought! But possible twins?! Wow. Will be thinking of you! Make sure you update us at the end of August!

Sugarspun – how you doing?? How’s the new addition??

Sarah – could your 1 and 3 keys be stuck? Can you take the key off and have a look underneath? Is it just those two keys, or is it completely random which letters/number pop up?!

    Hi to all the newbies!!

No done much this weekend - been visiting the inlaws in London. Also have to buy a new bed this week as our has broken. :( So it's not going to be a comfortable week this week waiting for the new one to arrive!!

    Hope everyone's well!!

No problem! :D Not all fruit freezes, but I know raspberries and most other berries do too. Not sure about strawberries.....

If it helps, strawberries do not freeze at all well. They go all mushy and watery when you defrost them again. x

She's wonderful, thanks ladies - currently fast asleep after another unsettled night but we're starting to get the hang of it. She's very responsive, which helps a lot.

Little eyebrows are quaking, so I assume my internet time is almost over :rotfl:

I meant also to say that HMV have some heavily reduced box sets. I bought myself the complete Inspector Morse DVD set for £40 down from £200. Hurrah!

Sammy - I hope it went well today. Fingers crossed for you. I had a few episodes of bleeding early on but the bundle turned out quite well in the end.

Last thing: there was a link recently to a website that was selling cheap wrapping paper. Can anyone remember it and can you re-link me to it please? Thanks :)
