    Morning.

Sally, having already reserved one 'plot' at the allotment.....can I reserve another?
Yesterday, I discovered that my DD has had her nose pierced. Now, how can a mum possibly miss something like that  The little cow has only has only got her septum pierced and flips the thing up to hide it.....she looks so ugly with it.

*apologies to anyone who has this sort of piercing*

Where have I gone wrong as a mum

Hun you haven't gone wrong as a mum, she's just going through a phase, she will grow out of it. If it's any consolation, I tried to steal my dad's car at 15, but I turned out ok................I think

My DD had a tattoo on her shoulder - a little flower. I believed her for ages about it being a temporary one!

Ohhh Twitty!! She really is pushing your limits at the moment isn't she.

What did you say when you saw it?

Teenage daughters should all be rounded up, put on an island and not allowed back until they can prove they're mature enough.....tell you what, I'll send mine off first to get it started!

Oh yes, she's really getting to me.
I just looked at her and said......"when did you get that done".......expecting it to be one of those clip on things.
I was in total shock......she looks like a bull or a pig ready to be led round by the snout.
When does the boat leave for the island.
I felt like running away before......this has really made me wonder why on earth I bother.
I can only hope that her GCSE results are ok.

Inky, I binned the avvie, just felt that way out.

Spud, if I was on the outside looking in and it was one of you girls that this happened to , I would probably say the same thing. But I know what he's like and I get so miserable when he's sulking. It really gets me down, and I feel that life is too short for all his bollox, and I know I should be taking my own advice and doing something about it, but as I said earlier, I need to grow a backbone first before I can tackle him.

Dodgy hugs :grouphug: Scorgy - it's easy for us all to comment, nobody knows the dynamics anybody's relationship unless they are in it.

Even if they aren't there's of loads of opportunites to catch up on them later - my sister had terrible eating problems and loads of rebellion stuff went on and she later went back to school and in the end completed a nursing degree...

It sounds like shes trying to push your buttons (arent daughter good at that!) because shes feeling a bit rubbish about herself - weirdly its a kind of validation method for her feeling better - sort of how putting someone down makes the other person feel better...

Anyway that doesnt help you much - you can either try to ignore it (tough I know) or try to talk to her about why shes behaving in that way...

Good news is - it wont last long and should get better in the next few years!

scorge - you and i can run off into a scarlet woman convention together as i was the same... (altho i am now seeing sense)

married men have a shed load of baggage and probably some of his issues are caused by whatever previous relationships have done to him.... plus being in the forces before he will have a notion that you've had all your own time and now it's together time...

To be fair, it sounds like he was being petulant, and a bit of an arrse but i think it's a far cry from domineering abuse control freakery...

scorge - you know how things are, and you know if it's not right...
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....
