    what you mean we dont have proper holidays?

    my OH i dont think rly fancies a cruise, but i think she's back heeled it too quick.

    SRM - yeah, i checked them out, but it involves going up on a plane - see the irony? lol.

    i can do it, but im not comfortable nor confident in doing it and i get angry with myself for feeling that way.

    i also dont want to be made to feel "wrong" for not wanting to fly and that flying is the only way possible to get anywhere like most people think - you can get to beijing on a train u know.. and even michael palin went round the world in 80 days - now that is a holiday.

    I'm not at all keen on flying and I don't like boats much either, there is no love lost between me and the sea. I was ok with trains until the Hatfield train crash (where I live) closely followed by Potter's Bar (which is the next stop on my line). The only thing that doesn't bother me is driving, even though it's by far the most dangerous form of transport. I guess it's a control thing, I'm sure I'd be fine flying if I were driving the thing :)
