Just turned out my first loaf of 2009 I know so bad in so many ways :o Anyways I had to try it, and its lovely except I set the topping as light so the top is a bit hit/miss, however lil bro has already scoffed half of it :rotfl:

Okay well there's a tesco on the strand if you want sandwiches, or there are some nice pubs such as the coal hole 2 minutes away on the strand...as well as a pizza hut and a pasta place.

Covent garden there's loads of places from pasties to full sit down menus, but my favourite places round there are:
Carluccios on the corner of covent garden opposite tescos (a different one from the strand one!)
Embankment garden cafe next to embankment station
Patisserie Valerie out one side of covent garden (try the soup if its not too hot :))
and Bella italia on henrietta street is a lovely little place and you know what you are getting ;)

Oh and if you are going full out posh - Simpsons on The Strand is the best place EVER :D

Thanks becky! I knew you'd be able to help. Want to keep it cheap but want something suitably interesting :)

I haven't even thought about worrying about the weather. I wish I could have two days there but it would mean an extra night in a hotel between Bournemouth and London, plus I'd be on my own.

:rotfl: Bookie, mine was well used and I would time bread for the morning, yet for some reason I gave up making it. As I have been on holiday I thought I must make some more. When I looked at my boxes of ingredients I found most are out in the next three months... hence my mega cook tommorow:j I am cooking ~ marmalade, apple & rasberry jam, choclate cake, cheese bread and banana bread. Little bro wants a wholemeal loaf (that I have been told is all his ) and Mum wants some rolls...

I actually think I have the ingredients in the cupboard too. I shall have free time to experiment soon.
