Just had my free hair cut. She did a great job and even tonged my hair as I said I was going out tonight! Gave a generous £5 tip because I felt it was such a bargain getting a freebie hairdo!

Anyone not sure about this offer should go for it!:T

Just received a voucher, got all excited, went on the web and choose north east, found York but no other information. How do I know which salons will accept this voucher please? sorry if posted already but I scrolled through and haven't found anything.
No reliance should be placed on the above.

well, I'm from York, and the salon in York is actually in Scarborough...and I won't say it's brilliant, it's a friendly atomoshere but the girl cut my hair is only 18 and still in training.... i was very frightened.....

Parley: I had my hair cut in July. When I applied I had to name the town I wanted my salon to be in. This was from a list on their website. I had to choose the nearest listed town to me as my own area was not listed at all. My salon ended up being about 16 miles away. Reading this thread it seems this is the case for many others that applied for the offer too. When my voucher arrived it gave me the name and telephone contact number for the salon TLC had chosen for me in the area I had given. It also had a reference number on the voucher that TLC use to link it back to my application.

If you have your voucher already but it shows no details of the salon I suggest you contact TLC or maybe even complain to Clairol who make the Herbal essence shampoo.
  • Hi everyone. I had a voucher through for a cut at my nearest salon (pretty good one too) but they dont do the promotion anymore. Had to write in to TLC for another voucher, but I'venot heard back yet....its only been a week though. still fingers crossed it hasn't got "lost in the post"!

my free hair cut was with a junior, although not quite a trainee. she was very slow, but did an excellent job, and offered my a half price cut for my next visit.

booked my free wash cut and blowdry for 2 weeks time so easy to do, and salon very helpful on phone.
  • Please do not bother with this offer, it will only disappoint you. I have been contacting Herbal Essences regularly for over three months, to try and secure my hair appointment, but they always say the same thing: that they will take my number and get back to me to arrange a date for the appointment. Then I never hear from them. Clearly, they try luring customers into buying their products by offering this free haircut, but don't want to give the haircut they've offered. And there is no easy way to complain over the phone, so you have to write in to them. Please don't waste your hard-earned pennies on any products from their range, unless you want to use them anyway. Just don't expect them to honour the offer.
