I'd give it a few more days first.0 -
He emailed back to say he has received it - Royal Mail have just not linked the tracking number :rolleyes:0

On your listings quote prices for standard, recorded, and special delivery
Explain that standard is at there risk, but always get a proof of purchease from the postoffice when posting (as this will inspire confidence in buyers), and not leave you open to criticism
Recorded delivery is not a gaurenteed service and is not insured its the same as a 1st class delivery but you do get a signature on reciept at the other end.
Just explain on your listing that you are not responsible for royal mail losses and if they want a gaurentee and you want to insure it go for the special delivery.
You ARE responsible for Royal Mail losses - only you, as the sender, can claim from Royal Mail. If something is lost in the post, it's the seller's responsibility to follow it up with RM - anyone who states otherwise on their listings is being disingenuous.
I only exist in my own mind - if you can see, hear or read me, you are a product of my imagination.0 -

It's £32.00 now. 1st class has risen to 32p so 100 x 32p is £32.00.0 -

More likely the postman posted the letter/package without obtaining a signiture.0 -

Seeing that on an auction would merely suggest to me that the seller didn't know what they were doing. You might get away with that sort of attitude if you avoid paypal at all costs, but if you take paypal then you *have* read the terms and conditions I take it?

Hmmm, I could only see a place to specify a postage cost so what would I put down, the highest price i.e. for special delivery?? I can't find how they can choose unless I alter it when invoicing...
but won't that be misleading to bidders if they see a different price before/after? 0 -

I once got compensation from Royal Mail for something I bought that went missing in the post. But, the usual rule of thumb is, the seller should claim.0 -

You can put all your different prices on the auction template easily. Next time you list something look on the postage section and you will see a link for 'additional' services, click that and you get another box and more if required.
However if you offer different services anyone who knows what they are doing will merely pay by paypal and choose the standard mail option (ie the cheapest), as they know that paypal cover them despite what you say.

Soo
Hmm thanks for that, in that case I'll just pop everything on special delivery then.
What annoys me is that I've had to upgrade my paypal account to a premier just because of one guy who had to pay by credit card and in the process I lost some of the price through commission  But I had to take that loss, not them. No fair
