Hi you can get nits overnight. If another person has them and you are in close contact the nits can transfer over.
Here is a good tip instead of using lotions coat the hair in mayonnaise and leave overnight. It does work.0 -
i only ever caught nits when i was about 17 - borrowed a woolly hat and they came along too! so i only got the fully grown little things and never any eggs.... sounds like direct transfer from someone else is the likely cause. although right now, working out where they came from probably isn't the biggest issue.....family politics is the bigger one!:happyhear0

How about getting your son a sleeping bag to take along to his dads if he goes then he can just bring it home with him
