OS Daily Thread - Monday 6th July

Evening Chums ,busy day today I have been helping my DD detox her DD's bedroom. Katie (her DD) is in the Dominican Republic with her Dad for a fortnight, so we thought we would spruce her bedroom up a bit as a suprise.I had some emulsion paint left over so we will do the walls tomorrow.I can't believe how much junk a 16 year old can cram into one very small bedroom:eek::eek:.Still its looking a lot better and the dustmen will be working overtime tomorrow to clear the 6 bags of rubbish we got rid of. By rubbish I mean broken bits of stuff that some of her brothers have thrown in there as well as her old shoes,bags,tights and various bits that didn't bear investigating too closely.
Still we have at last made a bit of room to roller the walls tomorrow and I bought her a fitting today to put her little portable t.v. on the wall out of the way which will free up some space.
It will be looking really nice by the time she comes home I just hope the boys don't let on to her when she rings up, as she phones home most night to see how we are all 'coping' without her:rotfl:. I am going to treat her to a new bed tomorrow as her one is on its last legs and she has had it since she was tiny .
Her little room will have a complete makeover and will look more like a grown-ups room for a change.
My DD is feeling a bit better although she is still not eating much and has gone right off tea. Still waiting to here from the hospital about her tummy scan, fingers crossed it will come soon.
I am now going to toddle off and do a bit of ironing and watch Corrie, hope everyone has a good evening
