  • oh..she looks a bit like my little dog, Badger! Bless her - I wonder if there is some basset in the mix? I would happily take my dog over there if it would help, but it is so hard to know if it would be a help or a hinderance.

    I will PM you

Bit of an update for you, Lady as she is now known is slowly gaining in confidence with my friend and will now follow her around to the point where she is now being 'walked' 3/4 times a day.
My friend is the only person however that can touch her and even then has to be very very slowly with no sudden movements at all. In a few days when her confidence gains a little bit more she is going to have a go at putting a slip lead on and then job done!
She now has a little house in bushes on the driveway to keep the elements out a little perspex roof and carpet on the floor to keep her a little more comfortable.

good luck to your friend! I wonder what has made the poor little mite so scared of humans...my dog has some fears (I was reminded of this when I picked up a hoe the other day, and she obviously thought I was going to hit her with it - she cowered) but overall, she just loves people and would go to anyone for a fuss.

Yes its unusual for a dog to be that scared of anyone isnt it, particularly when they are feeding them. Poor little soul. I hope this all has a happy ending.
