Phew!!!! I've caught up with as much of the thread as I could but couldn't read all of the pages and pages and pages of posts since yesterday morning! Really sorry if I've missed anything (but I HAD to watch Torchwood
)
TAG - Happy belated birthday for yesterday; hope you had a good day!
GettingHitched, madcatgirl, delain, Beki, hermoine - welcome
raggydoll - welcome back and congrats
OJK - good to see you back
tia - wow, another shop; congrats
flower - take care; hope all continues to be good for you
soappie - I see life is living up to your name again at the mo
mummyof5- lovely pic
Triker - how awful! glad it's sorted though; hugs
We have a suspected case of swine flu at school as of yesterday - school staying open though. We just had to send a letter from the DoH to the parents to let them know - 2 phoned in to say 'ok, we'll see you in September then' !!! but the rest have been fine.
Oh, and no-longer-a-friend has got up to even worse mischief AND managed to alienate 2 more people as well  AND has got herself a formal oral warning at work too........."There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

Been for my walk (and been fed!). It rained the whole time, so we were pretty much soaked, but it was a good chance to have a natter too.
Came home, walked round the block to make up the extra steps I needed, then caught up on here. Apologies if I miss anyone, but I'm posting quickly, then off to have a bath and get my stuff ready for the gym tomorrow!
Triker - did you check the salary they were advertising your job for? I hope they're paying you enough! And I think you should ask your line manager/HR to explain how the error came about and emphasise how stressful it was for you (I'm sure it's worth a small pay rise, or at least an extra day off!)
Dusty - apparently 10,000 steps is what you should be aiming for as a minimum. The scheme I'm on has set a challenge for this week to beat your previous day's total every day this week. I think you need to work out what you're prepared to accept as a minimum and try to exceed it where possible, but make sure that you have a level that you don't go below (probably the 10,000 that you need just to keep healthy). Obviously if you're ill, or recovering from a very long walk etc you can have a day or two of lower intensity, but not too much! My average over 45 days is now somewhere around 12500, and I had some very bad days in there when work was problematic, but I'm hoping that every day this week (although Thursday may be difficutl) will be over 14,500. I have 180 steps still to go today to beat yesterday's total!
vibes for boddy's DD and Pigpen's social worker
Froddy - keep away from your ex-friend. It sounds like it's a good thing you worked out what she was like when you did.
It's too dark to wash the last kitchen window now, so I'm off for my bath. I might drop in again before I go to bed...0 -
SW is coming at 10 to decide if DS1, GF and Jacob are ALLOWED to stay here for a weekend.. so vibes that the old hag is in a half human mood please!!!
Vibes that the old hag is more than in a half human mood and that DS1, GJ and J get their weekend pass to stay at yours.T
Could I have positive job vibes for DD please. There is a chance when she finishes her training at mums home there may be a full time job for her.
And more vibes going yours and DD's way boddyfroddington wrote: »soappie - I see life is living up to your name again at the mo

Well done on your steps Dusty ... was it all the running around sorting out the moat that did it, or is that just your normal day?! If that's what you usually do, you're obviously fairly fit. But if you want to lose weight, you need to increase your step count and decrease your calorie intake (simple really isn't it!). I found that at around the 10k mark it wasn't making a difference to me, but keeping it above 12500 consistently is having a visible impact!
soappie - we look forward to seeing a link to the local/national press imminently...
I've had my bath, and I'm just going to pack up my gym kit before recording todays step count. I've done rather more since I got home than I thought I would, so I've set myself a somewhat challenging target for tomorrow... I foresee a long CV session in the gym (hopefully before the training session, but given the time, it may have to be after!).
Sleep well...0 -
I've done some studying and had a bath so i'm going to bed now, goodnight all xx0
