Hi,
Have just finished painting the bedroom took ages to do, seeing as though its the first time I have painted a room on my own and I am 26!!!!!! Also have done most of the weeding on the drive, just need to put some weedkiller down in the week to remove some of the tough roots which I couldn't get out. Just in time too as it has just started to rain again.
Going to have poached cod, baby potatoes and tinned tomatoes for tea - yummy. Haven't had that for ages.
Just watching some of the tennis and think it is going to be a long game.
Sounds like other people have had a nice day so far.0 -

I have superglue on my finger from trying to repair my water butt. Its got a hairline crack in it close to the tap and the silt in the bottom has been the only thing holding the water back  Can't really afford a new one so I have cut up a small piece of black plastic bag, emptied water butt (so it had better rain tonight or tomorrow!) and slathered super glue all over the crack and surrounding area and over bit of plastic bag. Have stuck it on and managed to get my finger covered in glue too
Gah I am just no good with this sort of stuff. Cross your fingers this works otherwise I am going to have to fork out for a new one (OK local council sells them for £20 but it's £20 I don't really have
).
When I was in primary school we used to cover our hands in Copydex glue (PVA stuff) and during story time in the afternoon sit and pick off the dried glue like dead skinWell it was a way to pass the time :rotfl:

Bitsy beans, try using silicone sealant (like what they use on fishtanks) if the superglue doesn't work, because I think silicone would do it better. My other half said you'll probably need to do a patch of sealant both sides of the crack (so inside as well as out). I don't know how much silicone costs, but it's got to be cheaper than a new butt! Also, did you say you're near to Coventry? If so I will happily give you some of the stuff OH [STRIKE]stole[/STRIKE] took with permission from work.0

Thanks for the offer Covgirl, we have some left over sealant from fascias being done. And thanks to your OH for his suggestion. Silicone would probably be better but I'll see how the superglue and plastic holds.
