Morning All :hello:
You were all very chatty last night - I went to bed at page 20
Glad your BIL is ok Buffy & as with most people I too had a friend like that, always had to go to her house, never came to mine, conversation was always about her, what she'd done, what she'd bought, etc, everytime you tried to get your own thoughts across, it was always met with a "oh, never mind, anyway as I was saying about ME"
Don't see her anymore, I kept saying any dates she arranged weren't convenient, strange thing is she ceased all contact when I split up with ex-OH, perhaps she thought I might try & steal her OH :rotfl::rotfl:Don't Take Life too Seriously - Nobody gets out alive :rotfl:0 -

Crikey you were friends with her!! her phrase is "thats bad and then X happened to me and that's so much worse"
I don't know I do love her, but some times its very hard and its even harder when I look at other friends (like you lot and the few mates at work and my two best friends etc) I am very very lucky, I just don't get how she can't see it.
ho hum. must do something constructive.
xxxxNevertheless she persisted.0 -

It is hard to end a friendship Buffy & when I first starting making up things to avoid meeting dates she suggested I felt really, really bad, particularly when I was having a really rough time once & surprisingly she was very supportive but when I sat back & weighed it up against everything else, I was fed up of always going where she always wanted & any suggestion I made always got fobbed off
She's never bothered to make contact in the last 3 years, so I feel my decision was right

he's gone
my eyes are feeling all leaky today. I've got so much to do too, I really need to get stuff ebayed, Amber is in a horrible mood today, the baby is grumpy and Jas is feeling worse than ever too so I'm not getting a minute.
So, during a peaceful minute I've come for a coffee:A

I've got this friend, my gay friend, who has been my best mate for 20 odd years. But, it is always so needy, when I was busy working or just with life for a week or two I would get a text saying 'haven't heard from you, shame we were always so close, you don't seem to care about me these days' and for years I pandered to it, made every effort to go and see him, went to his house, met him in town when he was there.
When I got pregnant and was really struggling to get around he never came to see me, so I just kept inviting him to my house. I didn't go to him, but did say 'I'm always here, pop in if you fancy a coffee'. He never did.
Now Lily is almost 8 months and he still hasn't been to see her. he sent me a facebook message just saying 'hi hope everything is ok'. I sent him a long one back, asking what he was up to, how life was, told him what was going on with me, asked him to come over' no reply.
So, I've given up, I made the friendship on my terms by asking him to come to me, he wouldn't do that so I am going to leave it that way. Sometimes I think you need to get selfish too and think about what you want or can do. If that isn't good enough then they really aren't proper friends and as sad as it is, no big loss.:A

hi all - back from town.
It's sad to see them leave the nest Toto - but hey - think of the positives - I bet his bedroom will be a lot tidier and no nasties under the bed to find (well, after the first time you venture in there! :rotfl: )
Banked my cheques, bought a new airer from Robert Dyas (yayy, rock and roll lifestyle  ), went to Aldi and was pretty impressed - I thought it looked a bit tatty and tired last time but it was much better and the fruit and veg. looked fantastic. Not many places you can buy 5 bananas for 32p!
I also bought a bottle of their half price Pimms copy for 2.96 and a bottle of French Pink lemonade to go with it later........oh la la!!
right, off to get a shower and wash my mingingly vile hair."Stay Wonky":D

I have cleared the decking....just need to oil it now. I have a needy friend who only sees me on her terms....
I have one friend who i can see being friends with forever. I can what I think to her and she doesn't judge. She's been there for me and I hope I have been there for her. We can go days and weeks without txting or meeting up but its never judged. She has crap taste in men thought....:rotfl:Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

hahaha no, Jas has moved in already and she is the untidiest person on the planet. Rob is the tidy one, his room was always clean.
And, having a selfish moment, he is great with the baby too, he loved to spend time with her and when I was cooking and stuff he would take her up to his room and play playstation with her. I'm really going to miss having him around.:A
