mine was like that but black and one of my aunts gave it to me second hand in the 70s - you'd have thought I'd died and gone to heaven! kids these days would just laugh!

Only because they couldn't get any records for it.

Toto - it is the small things, yes. I still see occasional things and the rose coloured glasses go back on about my ex , songs remind me of holidays etc and although I never look at it, I would never get rid of my engagement ring, although to be honest, it is worthless as it was a cheap one I chose to start with!

I think if you hadn't have met Fran - and you'd have married - you would have endured more of the same (and the stuff that was in the press which I won't put in detail so not to identify him - I always think he's the kind of person to google himself!) and he'd have expected to come back to you with more gifts etc......

You have a wonderful husband and beautiful children, I would either put it at the back of the drawer where it has been sleeping all this time........or sell it and use the money for something nice - that is just for you.

you are right, on every count. He googles himself all the time, in fact the day I met him he said 'don't believe everything you will read when you google me' I replied 'why would I? I've no idea who you are anyway'

As for the marriage no no no no no looking back of course I made the right choice. So, the dumb watch will be sold and it will help pay off this lingering credit card I have.

Now, as for your fella, sometimes I'd like to kick him so hard he'd have my toes for teeth  I would ban all lifts from the pub unless you are invited too. It's bad enough he won't go out with you but expecting you to sit there on a Saturday just waiting for him to summon you for a lift takes the p1ss. I would get so slaughtered on the pims I'd vomit on his side of the bed tonight and then call him for a lift to the bathroom :D

My first single that I actually handed money over for was (IIRC) A Song of Sixpence by Sting. However, I don't actually like it...

Got plenty of records before that, but they were bought for me.

Might as well get some use out of it. I'm sure your drawers aren't going to float away because of the lack of weight in them.
