    Was it called a dansette or something. Had a lid and a handle so you could take it around with you.

    I had a record player like that too, or similar - mine was dark green, and if you put loads of records on, it would drop them down and play them one by one - very techy!! If you left the arm at the side, it would play the same one over and over too!

    And that was really useful when you only had 1 record!

    mine was like that but black and one of my aunts gave it to me second hand in the 70s - you'd have thought I'd died and gone to heaven! kids these days would just laugh!
