Hi folks,
Next week we're launching a bigger better travel money maximiser and we'd love you to help us test it.
The link is here
http://travelmoney.moneysavingexpert.com/beta.php
There are still a few minor cosmetic tweaks to make but overall it's there.
What's changed
Try it, try to break it, report bugs, tell us what you think, suggest tweaks (all we can do at this stage)
Thanks in advance

Would be nicer to have best rate at the top of list, rather than a chart where you have to check down.
Also, is there a similartool for larger amounts of money? (E10,000 seemed a maximum, while I see thats pretty heavy for holiday spending, for MSEers living part of the year overseas/earning in a different currency its not massive)

I've tried several conversions, different buybacks and holiday money and found no problems. One question, how is the "average tourist rate" worked out?Grocery budget in 2023 £2279.18/£2700Grocery budget in 2022 £2304.76/£2400Grocery budget in 2021 £2107.86/£2200Grocery budget in 2020 £2193.02/£2160Saving for Christmas 2023 #15 £ 90/ £3650

I've never been abroad, it'd be meaningless to me to click random buttons.0

It is telling me that £500 is $315.28 eerrr I don't think so!!!
Haven't tried the Euros yet.

It's simply an average of the returned rates. It gives a rough idea of what you can expect - if you want the best you'd use the main toolMartin Lewis, Money Saving Expert.

The "click here" link
Some cards add an extra charge when you buy currency in the UK! Full details.
leads back to the first page which doesn't make clear which cards to use or more importantly not to use (already complained about the fact that this used to be a pop up and the list isn't in any article)

We've tried to get all those who are competitive - and the main high street ones for comparison - though they need have an online system or we cant do it.
We're open to suggestions of more.
